TTC streetcar map

Hello Brandon: You created File:TTC streetcar map 2020.svg in WikiMedia. Would you be willing to update the map to reflect the reactivation of 507 Long Branch plus a few other changes?

Effective November 19, 2023, 507 Long Branch operates between Humber Loop and Long Branch Loop until 10PM; thus, it is a limited service route like 508 Lake Shore. After 10PM, 501 Queen replaces 507 Long Branch after 10PM; thus, 501 has limited service west of Humber Loop and regular service east of the loop. Correction: Between Roncesvalles Avenue and Humber Loop, 501 Queen operates along The Queensway rather than Queen Street West which runs east of Roncesvalles. (The Queensway and Queen Street are essentially the same street with a change in name at Roncesvalles Avenue.) Humber Loop lies just beyond the point where 501 leaves The Queensway to turn south towards Lake Shore Boulevard West. Also, effective July 30, 2023, the 503 Kingston Rd route has regular service; it is no longer a limited service route.

Unfortunately, I lack the knowhow to change the diagram. Please let me know if you are willing to do the changes. Thanks. TheTrolleyPole (talk) 02:59, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

@TheTrolleyPole I uploaded a new version as File:TTC streetcar map.svg. BrandonXLF (talk) 05:35, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

Citoid error when using AutoRef

Hello, @BrandonXLF. I have been using your AutoRef userscript for a while now but recently, it has broken for me and keeps giving me a "Unable to get the data for the provided reference from citoid. Make sure it is valid and your internet connection to functioning." error whenever I try putting in any link. Is there a fix to this? Thank you, Thecowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 17:27, 11 March 2024 (UTC)

@Thecowboygilbert Sorry for the late reply. Is this issue still occurring for you? If so, could you provide an example of a URL that times out? BrandonXLF (talk) 07:32, 30 March 2024 (UTC)

CollapseSections in Vector 2022

a screenshot of the issue

The CollapseSections script looks a bit wonky on the skin Vector 2022. The arrows are there but they're mostly covered by the whitespace, making the clickable space rather small.

I will be using it nonetheless, though! — Mignof (talk | contribs) 17:59, 27 March 2024 (UTC)

@Mignof Thanks for your perseverance! It should be fixed now. BrandonXLF (talk) 07:53, 30 March 2024 (UTC)

Hey, great job on ShowTemplates, it is really wonderful. I want to ask you to fix the script a little bit.

var portletItem = $(mw.util.addPortletLink('p-tb', '#', 'Show templates'));

portletItem.click(function() {

var portletItem = mw.util.addPortletLink('p-tb', '#', 'Show templates');

$( portletItem ).find( 'a' ).click( function( e ) {
	e.preventDefault();

Currently the click handler is implemented on the list item, not on the link in it, and it ends up adding # into the URL (and moving the user back to the start of the page) because of it. Thanks in advance. stjn 23:34, 17 April 2024 (UTC)

@Stjn  Done. Thank you for the bug fix I'm glad you're enjoying the script! BrandonXLF (talk) 02:28, 18 April 2024 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:MSRDC screenshot.png

Thank you for uploading File:MSRDC screenshot.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Also:

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

Lingotto (district) moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Lingotto (district), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Feedback on Update Notifications

Dear BrandonXLF,

I've been using your user script that automatically updates the notification count for quite some time now; I love it! I had a quick idea that could make the script even better. Instead of having new notifications show up as a grey number under the notification/notices icon when the script runs after a notification/notice is received, would it be possible to have it remain in its original red/blue colour instead (as the notification/notices panel wasn't opened yet)? This might be due to the fact that when the count is updated, the notification/noties are seen "as read".

Btw, I'm on Vector 2022.

QuickEdit and updates to heading markup

Hey, another thing I notice more and more: currently and in the future heading HTML will change. This already affects QuickEdit script on pages with DiscussionTools enabled, leading to the wrong rendering of QuickEdit textarea. You can see it on this page with dtenable=1 in URL. It would be great to prepare the script to the changes and render QuickEdit correctly on pages where heading markup has already changed. stjn 14:36, 15 May 2024 (UTC)

About QuickEdit

Hey BrandonXLF! Thanks for making this tool. I wanted to let you know that the script is misbehaving on non-Vector skins, most likely as a result of the new markup. When I try to open the script's editing dialog, it removes all other text from the page rather than placing the dialog in between the text. Let me know if you have any questions! QuickEdit bug

Hai! I've recently started using QuickEdit on the English Wiktionary, and, although it mostly works fine, there is one bug I'd like to report. When previewing an edited section, any quotations in that section are impossible to view, since the "quotations" button that you'd ordinarily click on to view said quotations fails to appear; this makes it impossible to preview any edits to these quotations when using QuickEdit. HotDefaultSort: Avoid auto saving by holding Ctrl?

In HotCat, if you hold Ctrl when clicking "OK", category changes won't auto save letting you make other edits (see Wikipedia:HotCat#Avoid auto saving). Is it possible with the script HotDefaultSort? 2001:14BA:9C40:0:48C8:91BB:9341:38BB (talk) 21:12, 8 July 2024 (UTC)

Feedback on QuickEdit

Hello BrandonXLF! I've been using your QuickEdit user scripts for quite some time (and am loving it)! I could not see myself editing without it now :P. I just had a thought that could help make it even "quicker". How about having CTRL+Enter automatically do the "Save" action, just as it does in the normal editing in "Publish Changes"? Thanks so much! Cocobb8 (💬 talk • ✏️ contribs) 15:52, 29 June 2024 (UTC)

Restorer script bug

Hello! I am a rollbacker from Kazakh Wikipedia. Today I created "User:Nurtenge/common.js" and "User:Nurtenge/Restorer.js" pages and I got a "Restore" button on Kazakh Wikipedia. But... There are TWO "Restore" buttons! They both perform the same task, but there are two of them and it looks ugly. How can I fix this error? Nurtenge (talk) 15:56, 4 July 2024 (UTC)

Hi @Nurtenge, can you share a URL of a history page where both buttons appear. Thanks, BrandonXLF (talk) 06:21, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I figured it out, it's not a bug, it is my bad :) I created this page on Meta and created this page on Kazakh Wikipedia. In Meta-Wiki, I used your JavaScript on English Wikipedia, and on Kazakh Wikipedia I created my own JavaScript page where I wrote some English words in Kazakh. Your JavaScript code gave me a restore button on all wikis. And my JavaScript code translated into Kazakh gave me a restore button only on Kazakh Wikipedia. Therefore, on Kazakh Wikipedia I now have two restore buttons :) Thank you!
By the way, it would be cool if you added the ability to write a reason for restoring the page version -- Nurtenge (talk) 16:51, 13 July 2024 (UTC)

Template editor granted

Your account has been granted the "templateeditor" user permission, allowing you to edit templates and modules that have been protected with template protection. It also allows you to bypass the title blacklist, giving you the ability to create and edit editnotices. Before you use this user right, please read Wikipedia:Template editor and make sure you understand its contents. In particular, you should read the section on wise template editing and the criteria for revocation.

You can use this user right to perform maintenance, answer edit requests, and make any other simple and generally uncontroversial edits to templates, modules, and edinotices. You can also use it to enact more complex or controversial edits, after those edits are first made to a test sandbox, and their technical reliability as well as their consensus among other informed editors has been established. If you are willing to process edit requests on templates and modules, keep in mind that you are taking responsibility to ensure the edits have consensus and are technically sound.

This user right gives you access to some of Wikipedia's most important templates and modules; it is critical that you edit them wisely and that you only make edits that are backed up by consensus. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password.

If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

If you were granted the permission on a temporary basis you will need to re-apply for the permission a few days before it expires including in your request a permalink to the discussion where it was granted and a {{ping}} for the administrator who granted the permission. You can find the permalink in your rights log.

Autoref

Hello! I couldn't pick which of your scripts is most vital to me at this point, but it may be this one. Thank you so much for them all! Is there a way one could optionally omit the <ref>...</ref> tags when using Autoref?
