This course focuses on the province of Roman Britain by drawing upon both ancient literary evidence and material culture. Throughout the course, students will examine the complex intersections of military invasions, imperial conquest, popular resistance, and tribal rebellion, that comprised the province's history under Roman rule. Following this programme, students will be tasked with editing existing Wikipedia content or creating a new Wikipedia page related to the course materials. They will also produce a piece of reflective writing on their experiences with Wikipedia editing.
