Thrasher Map Bonanza

I'm on the verge of editing multiple articles related to the Toxostoma genus, and I would like to have maps made for each of the following species, if possible.

Map links: Crissal thrasher http://maps.iucnredlist.org/map.html?id=22711127

Le Conte's thrasher http://maps.iucnredlist.org/map.html?id=22711121

California thrasher http://maps.iucnredlist.org/map.html?id=22711124

Whenever you get the chance, just respond back onto my page. I'll keep a lookout w/the watchlist, too. Thanks for reading! LeftAire (talk) 22:14, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

Done @LeftAire: All three maps created, uploaded, added to articles. Maps are categorized at Commons under the binomials. Let me know if problems, either ping here or leave message on my talk page. Good luck with the articles! Gaff (talk) 19:20, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

The map uses outdated data from 2005, the linked page already uses 2012 data. please update with the new data. also recreating the map in svg would probably save some time whenever this is done next… Thank you! -- 179.63.245.34 (talk) 20:42, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

Can anyone recommend a suitable blank map, preferably SVG, and showing national boundaries? I have failed to find one. Maproom (talk) 23:20, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

Hello. I want to add a neighborhood map for Mount Vernon Triangle. (something similar to File:Dupont Circle Map.pdf or File:Dupontmap.png) I don't know how to do this. The boundaries of the neighborhood can be seen here and here. It's 7th Street NW on the west, New York Avenue NW on the north, New Jersey Avenue NW on the east and Massachusetts Avenue NW on the south. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Image's request under progression Request taken by Gaff (talk) 05:17, 6 January 2015 (UTC). I will upload something. It may not be perfect, but it will be a start. Gaff (talk) 05:17, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

Okay: I have a map, which is available with a CC 2.0 free license from OpenStreetMap. I mapped out the neighborhood and the link is here. There are features that you can tweak, to change the background map, to include less or more detail. It can also be scaled. The download feature is stuck right now, due to too high a load on the server. @AgnosticPreachersKid:: Is this enough information to get you going? More experienced cartographers might do a a better job with this. There are similar maps of the DC neighborhoods here on Commons. They have templates with appropriate licensing. If you are stuck, I can try again later to download the map, but if you can do it yourself, it might be easier for you to customize. Hope that this is somehow helpful. Gaff (talk) 05:29, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
Hold on: I got the download to work. I will prep the mpa and upload shortly. Gaff (talk) 05:30, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
Ok, thank you. APK whisper in my ear 06:44, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
How is this? It can probably be cropped and somebody smarter than me might be able to get rid of the Safeway shopping cart. Gaff (talk) 07:12, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
Thanks! I cropped it. APK whisper in my ear 07:30, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

Camas pocket gopher
Request
This article will be going up for FA review in the next week or so. Anyone interested in cleaning up/redrawing this diagram? The source is cited on the file at commons and is also here. The burrow is 800 ft long. I'm not 100% certain what the 156 ft long section on the left side is about, but from the text, it was a part of the burrow built when the gopher was young. Color coding of the different parts of the burrow would be great. The text of the book is short and more clear than anything else I can say here.-- Gaff (talk) 16:56, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

@Philg88: You seem to have omitted the text "Unexcavated runways are shown by dots". --Redrose64 (talk) 13:14, 15 January 2015 (UTC)

Crimea should be light green, since it switched to Moscow Time after it was annexed by Russia. Frenzie23 (talk) 13:24, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

Suggestion: Before overwriting the original, please consider creating a new file so that the original is still available if the situation changes. cmɢʟeeτaʟκ 21:38, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
Uploading an image at the same location doesn't remove the old one - it just hides it under a rug, which you can easily peek under at the file description page and restore older versions. See here for the previous version of this particular image. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 05:50, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
