Hello, Wykebjs, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Again, welcome!  Stifle (talk) 21:19, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the show's correct title is just "Desert Forges" - this is the title displayed on Sky's onscreen guide and the title screen of the show. I think it should be moved back to Desert Forges. Stifle (talk) 21:19, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Incidentally, thanks for your work improving and wikifying the article. Stifle (talk) 21:20, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, scratch that. The Sky guide shows Desert Forges, some of the title screens of the show show "the Desert Forges". I don't think it matters much, anyway. Stifle (talk) 21:21, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Floriana FC.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Floriana FC.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. For your excellent contributions to Malta articles Maltesedog 07:59, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am impressed at the articles and the way you're doing the Maltese villages templates :-). I can help you if you want, I consider myself as being quite good at writing articles on Malta, and I do have some wikiepdia experience. Congratulations mate Maltesedog 07:59, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Maltesedog. Some of the entries for the inhabitant name have been marked with {{fact}}, and some are missing, they will need double checking.
The geodata for most of the villages are very inaccurate, but I'll get working on that soon.
Working on a few coat-of-arms images for some articles as well. I'm just learning Inkscape, so it could be a while :) ~ ► Wykebjs ◄ (userpage | talk) 17:37, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:53, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Malta Local Council Maps

[edit]

Hi there. I was wondering where you got the information on which you based your maps of local councils in Malta - I've been trying to find some decent maps of exactly this for a while. Your maps are great for the purposes to which they've been put, but I'm hoping to find some that give a bit more details about where borders are in relation to streets, landmarks, etc.

Anything you might be able to help with?

Thanks! AshleyMorton (talk) 13:05, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Edvspencer1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Edvspencer1.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:26, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
