Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Raven-Symoné, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - SummerPhD (talk) 13:36, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. File source problem with File:Ariel-Princess7.jpg

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Ariel-Princess7.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:51, 24 June 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Please note that this also applies to File:Disney-Princess-Jasmine6.jpg, File:Princess-Belle2.jpg, and File:PrincessAurora3.jpg.

Princess images

[edit]

Please do not replace images for the Disney princesses, as you did to Aurora (Disney), Belle (Disney), Princess Jasmine, and Ariel (The Little Mermaid). The images that were there were approved under fair use and perfectly identified the princesses. There was no reason to replace them. Thank you. Cactusjump (talk) 21:42, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Re. your comment that Snow White is the youngest of the Disney Princesses at only fourteen, I can't recall any scene in the movie which cites her age. That may apply to the original story, but not to the film. Please take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources. Thanks. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 22:37, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 2 weeks in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for repeated violations of the image upload policy. Please stop. You are welcome to make useful contributions after the block expires. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below. You should count yourself extremely lucky that you weren't blocked indefinitely, as you have made no effort whatsoever to communicate with other editors regarding the concerns about your uploads. However, I see you have made some good-faith effort in regard to regular editing. However, we have very little tolerance for copyright violations here, so I suggest you use the next two weeks to review our image upload policies very carefully--next time, it will be indefinite. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
