Information icon Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Northern University, Nowshera. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Control copyright icon Hello Wisalahmad523, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to University of Haripur has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. MER-C 07:53, 10 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Pakhtunkhwa Journal of Life Science has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable, relatively new journal. Not indexed in any selective databases, no independent sources. Does not meet WP:NJournals or WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Naema Ahmed, enthusiasm needs help

[edit]

Would you consider reviewing Naema Ahmed? I saw that you had worked to fix up the article. A new editor wrote too much in an addition. It now mentions 'London' three times, book-writing a number of times, repeats itself about other things, and predicts all sorts of things possibly done at a future date (see WP:CRYSTALBALL). Currently it is a disaster. That user has not edited since their only two edits. Anyway, it deserves some help before someone reacts badly and deletes most of it. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Wisalahmad523. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Ihsan Ali, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Cordless Larry (talk) 08:00, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Please stop adding a citation needed tag to the introduction of the Ihsan Ali article. Hello. I noticed you moved Constituency PK-58 (Tor) to Constituency PK-58 (Tor Ghar) by redirecting the original article to the new one. This is deemed to be a cut and paste move, and is not allowed on Wikipedia. If you wish to move an article, you must use the move tab at the top of the page, or if that doesn't work, the WP:RM process. I have fixed this mess by performing a history merge. If you have done this on any other articles, please let me know so that they can be fixed too. Thanks, Number 57

@Wisalahmad523:, you asked for help getting articles restored. This request could mean one of two things: Do you want to "restore some articles" to the content they included at an earlier time or do you want to "restore some articles" that have been removed completely?
If you your question is the first one: You need to go to the edit history. Go the the page, click the "View history" tab at the top of the page and go from there. You can find more information at Help:Page history.
If your question is the second one: You haven't indicated which articles these would be, but I see three that you created which have been deleted (Pakhtunkhwa Journal of Life Science, Ayesha Ishtiaq, and Nasir Khanjan). The first two were deleted as copyright violations. Do not attempt to get these restored. Wikipedia takes copyright issues very seriously and you agreed to follow Wikipedia's policies on copyrights when you created your account. The will not be restored. If you can find independent, reliable sources on these subjects without copying and pasting, you can create new articles on them. The last one was deleted through this discussion and then again after it was recreated. You need to follow the steps at Deletion Review to get this restored but you really should read, understand, and follow the "Purpose" and "Instructions" sections on that page before listing it for review.
I hope this covers any questions you may have. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 15:38, 30 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from adding excessive information to WP:BLP (Read it please) without realiable sources per WP:RS. What you added is original research per WP:OR (Read it please) or primary sources per WP:PRIMARY (Read it please). Statements like this He is also serving as committee chairman of STANDING COMMITTEE NO. 27 ON SPORTS, CULTURE, TOURSIM, MUSEUMS ARCHAEOLOGY AND YOUTH AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT, committee member of STANDING COMMITTEE NO. 01 ON PROCEDURE & CONDUCT OF BUSINESS RULES, PRIVILEGES & IMPLEMENTATION OF GOVERNMENT ASSURANCES and STANDING COMMITTEE NO. 19 ON FOOD DEPARTMENT are not the purpose of encyclopedia. Hope you will remove all such statements from your newly started articles. In general, you are working well. These little things you need to take care off. Thanks again. Any other question ask on my talk. Störm (talk) 16:20, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You can use List of members of the 14th National Assembly of Pakistan as your model for new articles you create. They should be like (e.g. Junaid Akbar take it as sample), well-sourced and no original search. You should try to write articles based on this sample. Again please don't add WP:OR because we take WP:BLPs seriously and could be trouble for you. Thanks. Störm (talk) 16:26, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unreliable sources

[edit]

Hi Wisal, I noticed that you have been citing unreliable sources in BLP's. I have tagged most of the pages therefore you should get rid of unreliable sources from the pages before you opt to remove the maintenance tags. --Saqib (talk) 15:46, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Saqib: Thanks! I'm sure it will not happening again.

Your contributed article, Jamal Garhi, Mardan

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Jamal Garhi, Mardan. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Jamal Garhi. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Jamal Garhi. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. reddogsix (talk) 21:20, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A very small thing

[edit]

Hi, and many thanks for creating articles on towns in Pakistan. Just one very small point: please put the punctuation, such as ".", before the references, i.e. "province.<ref name=..." is correct but "province<ref...>." is not. Many thanks Chiswick Chap (talk) 08:54, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled granted

[edit]

Hi Wisal Ahmad, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Malinaccier (talk) 15:40, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Boleyn: I don't why you tagged this page with these templates. This is same as other articles I've created and off course many of them reviewed by you. Thanks! Wisal Ahmad (talk) 09:35, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Wisal Ahmad. I didn't add the tags, I just let you know they were there when I reviewed it so you could look it over again if you wished. FormalDude, could you please give some more details of your concerns so Wisal Ahmad can look it over again? Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 09:38, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I just removed the other tags, but the article does need copy editing for grammar errors, and overall could be more cohesive by providing more context about the person and their work. —FormalDude(talk) 09:43, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

AfC notification: Draft:Ali Baba Khan has a new comment

[edit]
I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Ali Baba Khan. Thanks! CookieMonster755 07:06, 30 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Article 62 & 63 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.article6263.com/save-pakistan/text-from-the-constitution-article-62-63/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without evidence of permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted. Please take this opportunity to ensure that you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  NeilN talk to me 15:22, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I know that I've received multiple warning about copyright violation and after last warning I didn't any violation except the "Draft:Article 62 & 63" and this is because of I was thinking that its just only a draft and I've copy paste the content to extract the information or other users will do something with that. Sorry I wasn't aware of that copyright rules also implement in the Draft system. Thanks! Wisal Ahmad (talk) 04:15, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

It is not in any way clear, from this request or from the conversation below, that you understand the problems with your edits. In order to lift the block, we need to be certain that you understand how copyright works on Wikipedia. In order for the reviewing administrator to assess this, please address the following questions in your next unblock appeal:

  • What is copyright?
  • How is Wikipedia licenced?
  • Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia?
  • Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?
  • How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future?

Your answers will enable us to establish whether or not you should be unblocked. Yunshui  08:51, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Sorry, that's not correct. Archaeological Museum Umerkot was a copyright violation in articlespace. --NeilN talk to me 04:20, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@NeilN: As I'm not native of English language so I can't extract information in my own words, and Archaeological Museum Umerkot I think this is not a copy paste but closely paraphrase. Thanks! Wisal Ahmad (talk) 15:02, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
A close paraphrase is a copyright violation. Based on your statement I think it would be better if your contributed to your native language Wikipedia and remain blocked here. --NeilN talk to me 15:06, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@NeilN: No please unblock me here and it's more difficult contributing to Wikipedia in my native language as most of the articles are in English language and you can check my contribution to the English Wikipedia. Thanks! Wisal Ahmad (talk) 15:15, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The only way "most of the articles are in English language" is if your native tongue *is* English or your home wiki is Simple English - or if you're only here to do SEO. And as has been pointed out to you multiple times, we cannot accept copy-pastes or close paraphrases under any circumstance. You are best served editing the Wikipedia for your native tongue (See here for a list of Wikipediae). —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 00:34, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@NeilN:, @Jéské Couriano: yeah I'm working with Simple English. Now I know for what I'm blocked and I'm sure I will not do it again. Thanks! Wisal Ahmad (talk) 02:27, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Wisal Ahmad: Try to understand and answer above asked questions and then see what happens. Störm (talk) 15:07, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
