Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Blunderwheel - Roly Poly.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Blunderwheel - Roly Poly.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:43, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Te aves baxtalo, and hi!

[edit]

Wow. I don't edit Wikipedia often these days, but I just noticed this.

It's really a pleasure to meet you (or just to say hi!). My name's Vijay, and I'm in Romani Studies; Prof. Hancock is helping me write up a paper. I live in Austin, too. My parents are from India, but I was born in Cleveland. (Etc., etc....If you're curious, you can read more about me on my user page). --Kuaichik (talk) 04:07, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi!

[edit]

I see that you have been quite active on Wikipedia this year. Maybe you can get a little bit involved in the problems related to the Romani people: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Romani_people

Wee need a lot of help. See you around! AKoan (talk) 09:35, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Penny Wiggins

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Penny Wiggins requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ecoleetage (talk) 01:18, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What?

[edit]

What is your Psychic Tanya message all about? I don't know anything about that. Ecoleetage (talk) 01:30, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Heh, Psychic Tanya is the character played by Penny Wiggins, whose article you marked for deletion. She is the assistant to The Amazing Johnathan's magic act. Weasel5i2 (talk) 12:48, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Roly Poly (album)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Roly Poly (album), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Whispering 17:45, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I contested it, now the article is back again. It was determined that it DOES fall under WP criteria for inclusion. I am working to enrich the article, as well as some related articles. Weasel5i2 (talk) 07:48, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Blunderwheel

[edit]

It's now been 2.5 months since you stated that Blunderwheel was notable enough for an article on Wikipedia, and you still haven't created it. Please note that Wikipedia rules are that the band must have an article which properly indicates their notability before any of their albums are entitled to their own articles. If the band is notable enough, the album's article can be restored after the band has its own article. Bearcat (talk) 21:51, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies, I haven't had much time lately, but as soon as the new year begins, I will have more time to contribute and create the article. Weasel5i2 (talk) 11:58, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
