Re : Photographer's Barnstar

[edit]

Hi Tdxiang,

Thanks for the barnstar! Much appreciated! I've moved it to User:Mailer diablo/Barnstars btw. :)

- Cheers, Mailer Diablo 09:01, 12 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats! You are now Father Tan Ding Xiang in the Catholic Church of Wikipedia. Use your super powers well. --Lord Voldemort (Dark Mark) 14:13, 13 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, I wanna be ordained too...
-- Миборовский U|T|C|E 00:26, 14 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I can't understand your name, but I'll see what I can do. --Lord Voldemort (Dark Mark) 14:21, 14 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Celestianpower is an admin

[edit]

Thank you very much for your support - my bid (as you probably know) went swimmingly. I couldn't have asked for a better one. Thank you very much and I just hope I don't mess up! I really could be doing so much more with my time than this though... --Celestianpower hablamé 13:12, 16 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Box

[edit]

I believe I fixed it. Cheers. Redwolf24 (talkHow's my driving?) 04:22, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Try it now, move them around, you should know how. Sorry I'm a bit busy with a troll right now... Redwolf24 (talkHow's my driving?) 04:42, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

IRC

[edit]

Do you already have IRC? If so, when it asks you to join a channel, type in wikipedia-ccw. Acetic'Acid 05:46, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sig

[edit]

I saw on Redwolf24's failed Rfb, your support vote (kudos, btw) but also a big ass pic. Was that picture in your sig? If so, please remove it. It is big, and sigs are not supposed to be for personal vanity- it clutters the page and makes thing very difficult to read. --Maru (talk) 18:41, 18 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Also please when you vote for anythign sign at the bottom of the list. Thanks Jobe6 23:23, 18 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Mr Tan

[edit]

First of all, I must really thank you for your recognistion of my work through the barnstar. I must apologise for my delayed reply, as there are lots of dangerous liasions that had plagued me for months out there, notably User:Mel Etitis. (I hope you don't put your hand in or else you get it from him too)

Secondly, you have noticed a revamp in my user page. In view of Mel, I must distort my identity to confuse them as I do not wish to reveal too much to such strangers. Yes, I'm a Chinese, but having other admixtures is a mere fantasy as I am a full-blooded Chinese. I do speak dialects, to a great extent, if you track back my history to view my user page prior to my revamp before July-August, the languages strengths are indeed true. I never knew a single word of Yiddish, Portuguese and FDutch. Do you speak or (at least) understand your native Hainanese and/or Foochow dialects? I would like to know.

I could speak Cantonese almost fluently, and Teochew to a considerable extent. Of course, I understand more than I could speak. Honestly, my fluency in my native Chinese dialect(s) is much better than most people of my generation, from what I observed throughout my schooling years. Just see your classmates on their proficieny on their dialects and times two or three if they know a little (Hokkien). Well, my initiative is that as members of (Hainanese) or (Hokkien), etc dialect groups, we must be able tp preserve our dialects and pass on our knowledge to our future generations, along with English and Mandarin, which is essential for international affairs.

Thirdly, I have never been to the US before. I am a Singaporean citizen, but again I distort the fact to confuse Mel and his allies. My name is not real either (though it looks real). Only my surname is real, but I choose not to reveal my full name. I'm fourteen, not fifteen, and I'm in Secondary 2. (Delete the second to fourth paragraphs when you've seen this as soon as possible, or allow me to do so, in order to prevent others seeing this message).

I see that you are a devout Catholic. Good to know that, for I have some Catholic relatives (although I'm not one). Rather, I'm pro-Catholic, and perhaps you could write more about Augustine Sin Tub Goh, George Yong-Boon Yeo, name a few (Catholics). For me, my works include Bae Yong Joon and Lee Dong Gun, Korean Catholic celebrities.

I afraid that I'm rather ill recently and I do have some problems of my own. I'm afraid I can't turn up here too often. Hopefully I can write with you about famous Catholic (and local) personalities if I could. Relax, the end-of-year exams are over now.

Last of all, I wish you good luck. I hope to hear your sweet replies! --Mr Tan 05:29, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I'm glad to see you back, Mr. Tan. Better luck with this account! (and you do remember that short of being an admin and deleting pages, the entries above will always be visible in the history, right?) --Maru (talk) 05:41, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. Now everyone can see it. Better use email.
-- Миборовский U|T|C|E 05:54, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Any time

[edit]

No problem. I noticed there are 3 other logos needing to be made. ( here) Are those going to be judged at the same time?

Happy editing!

Super powers...

[edit]

Well, you don't really have any super powers, except for being Jimbo's intercessor here on Earth, but really, it is just for fun. Just keep up the good work. See ya. --LV (Dark Mark) 14:45, 2 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Esperanza!

[edit]

Welcome, Tdxiang/Archive November to December 2005, to Esperanza, the Wikipedia member association! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member, you might be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is the StressUnit, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. A spam list is maintained by Redwolf24 to keep members up to date; you might want to consider adding your name to the list. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Possibles.

I encourage you to take an active voice in the running of Esperanza. We have a small government system, headed by our Administrator general, Essjay, and guided by the Advisory Committee comprised of myself, Flcelloguy, Ryan Norton, and Acetic Acid. The next set of elections will be at the end of the year, and I would be glad to see you vote, or even consider running for a position.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact me via email or talk page. Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to be!

Irc

[edit]

Well, it just might be quiet at this time. You can always give a normal chat a go at #wikipedia. Cheers, Bratschetalk | Esperanza 04:47, 4 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and when responding on talk pages, make sure to use the special wiki-syntax of four tildes ( ~~~~). Thanks, Bratschetalk | Esperanza 04:48, 4 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Essjay said it wouldn't be offensive so I used that symbol. About the deadline, I think it's good the way it is, it may take a while for people to see there's a competition going on.

Happy editing!

Note

[edit]

You can see new users here. It is a little late to co-nominate, but my RfA isn't looking too good, so maybe in a few months I'll try again (and you can co-nominate). (However you can view it here)

Psy guy's RfA

[edit]
Thanks for your interest in my RfA. It recently closed with final tally of 51/1/2. I hope I can live up to your expectations. I will try my best to be a good administrator. If you ever need anything, just let me know. See you around CCW. Thanks again! -- Psy guy (talk) 06:16, 12 November 2005 (UTC) [reply]

My Sig

[edit]

I don't know what quite happened with my sig, I've had no trouble up until now. I don't know what is up with the sigs right this minute, but other people seem to be having trouble with them too. I am now using a "substitute" sig until I can fix it, as it is still playing up. Thanks for letting me know. FireFox (talk · contribs)

RE:RfA

[edit]

Well, I don't mind it either way, if you believe that I'm up to the job, feel free. Thanks.

Miborovsky's RfA

[edit]

Hello there Tdxiang/Archive November to December 2005,

Thank you for nominating me for RfA! It's Thanksgiving Day, too... so once again a big thank you! Have an awesome weekend! (If you celebrate Thanksgiving, that is, but I'm pretty sure you don't.) I will do all I can for Wikipedia, to protect it from the alien scum of the universe... I mean, uh, from Willy on Wheels and Wikipedia is Communism!

On the Catholic Church of Wikipedia

[edit]

As you have described yourself as a Catholic, I thought I would alert you as a co-religionist to your opportunity to delete the particularly offensive article, Wikipedia:Catholic Church of Wikipedia.--Thomas Aquinas 22:00, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

A Message to Pro-Life Wikipedians

The section "Foetal Pain" (Fetal Pain) has been deleted from the Abortion article. Could you help restore it? If you would like to see what was deleted, go to my talk page, scroll to "Fetal Pain," and click the provided link.--Thomas Aquinas 22:30, 28 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re : Thanks!

[edit]

Hi Ding Xiang,

Don't mention it! He well deserves the adminship for his contributions here. And my apologies for the late reply, I was away on vacation. :)

- Cheers, Mailer Diablo 15:33, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

no problem!{{User:tdxiang/Signature}} 06:09, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not put a template on a user page that has not been blocked, as that tends to confuse people. Instead, post a notice to the Administrator's Noticeboard/Incidents, or, as you've done, post it to Redwolf's page, or perhaps another admin. I blocked him, but in the future, please be more careful. Oh, and you might want to fix your signature. -Mysekurity(have you seen this?) 07:16, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re : WP:SG! on IRC?

Hi Tdxiang,

I don't use IRC. Sorry. You'll have to look for someone else on this one. :(

Pro-life celebrities category up for deletion

[edit]

Hi, I see that you are listed as a Roman Catholic Wikipedian, well the Pro-life celebrities category is up for deletion. Category:Pro-life celebrities I think this is an interesting and worth while category. Afterall not all celebrities are pro-abortion. Dwain 02:52, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
