A tag has been placed on File:Sweta Rai,fimmaker.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi @Lacrymocéphale the copyright statement for this image was duly submitted to wikipedia commons via email. Please advise how can I contest it or I have to upload it all over again? (Suzzane lasale (talk) 17:11, 30 January 2019 (UTC))30th Jan 2019[reply]
@Suzzane lasale:
If permission has been duly submitted, the image will be restored as soon as the permission will be validated. Do not re-upload it. And there is nothing to contest until the permission is treated. You just has to wait and reply to permission validators if they ask for more informations.
--Lacrymocéphale 08:06, 31 January 2019 (UTC) @Lacrymocéphale Thanks for your prompt reply and advise.[reply]
If as you say you have no connection to Sweta Rai how do you happen to have a photograph of her? Theroadislong (talk) 10:11, 31 January 2019 (UTC) @Theroadislong I found a "contact" column on her website and requested for the permission of her photograph. Aren't we supposed to get a copyright from the owner of the photograph? So I did it. Thanks for asking.[reply]
We need permission from the photographer not the owner of the photograph. Theroadislong (talk) 15:44, 31 January 2019 (UTC) @Theroadislong Point noted, thanks[reply]

Your thread has been archived

[edit]
Teahouse logo

Hi Suzzane lasale! You created a thread called How long does it take a wiki page draft to be active or Live? at Wikipedia:Teahouse, but it has been archived because there was no discussion for a few days. You can still find the archived discussion here. If you have any additional questions that weren't answered then, please create a new thread.

Archival by Lowercase sigmabot III, notification delivery by Muninnbot, both automated accounts. You can opt out of future notifications by placing {{bots|deny=Muninnbot}} (ban this bot) or {{nobots}} (ban all bots) on your user talk page. Muninnbot (talk) 19:01, 26 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You have moved the draft to mainspace yourself bypassing the afc process and it really isn't in good shape, the sources are appalling, IMDb is never a reliable source for anything, it likely to be deleted unless the sourcing is vastly improved. Do you have a connection with Sweta Rai by any chance? Theroadislong (talk) 20:20, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

MfD nomination of Draft:Sweta Rai

[edit]

Draft:Sweta Rai, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:Sweta Rai and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Draft:Sweta Rai during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Sheldybett (talk) 00:02, 28 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Sheldybett The draft has been improved significantly since it was reported for deletion but as soon as I make the changes someone immediately deletes it. Sweta Rai has obtained three master's degrees which are time and again mentioned in the newspapers/ magazine articles (duly citied and linked), there is a video of her interview in Hindi which also translates to her achievements. This special program on her journey was shown on National Television in India. Please check the links and citations. All the colleges that she has attended are properly linked to, and so as her film career. All of her films are running on TV these days, so it can be verified, by anyone, if needed. Please help. (Suzzane lasale (talk) 17:19, 30 January 2019 (UTC))30th Jan 2019[reply]

I can't see where any of your contributions have been deleted, however obtaining three master's degrees may be impressive but it has absolutely no bearing on her notability, IMDb, Youtube and her own website are NOT reliable sources. We only summarise what reliable, independent published sources have to say about a subject. If there are no such sources then we cannot have an article.
