Speedy deletion nomination of Inpatient Safety On Board

A tag has been placed on Inpatient Safety On Board, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Inpatient Safety On Board. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Why the article was deleted

Wikipedia is a project to build an encyclopedia, not a place for people or organizations to post copies of their promotional literature - for background, read User:JohnCD/Not a noticeboard.

As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia is selective about subjects for articles. The inclusion criterion is called WP:Notability, and is not a matter of saying so but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people not connected with the subject thought it significant enough to write substantial comment about? Many perfectly worthy organizations cannot meet that requirement. That is not at all to their discredit, but it means they are not suitable subjects for an encyclopedia article.

When this article was first posted it was deleted after a deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Inpatient Safety On Board which concluded that it did not meet the notability requirement. It was also felt to be too promotional in tone: Wikipedia articles require a neutral point of view.

Since it has been deleted after discussion, it cannot simply be re-posted. If you want to contest the deletion, you should first approach user Mark Arsten (talk), the administrator who closed the deletion discussion; if he does not agree, you can go to WP:Deletion review. Before you embark on that, think hard about notability, because if you cannot show significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources you will be wasting your time: an article will not be accepted.
