I've been dying to have an adoption process underway, so I'll gladly adopt you. (To tell you the truth, I'm a first-time adopter!) BTW, thanks for signing my guestbook! --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 17:03, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Dylan, how would I be able to upload a picture of my school' crest to wikicommons?Spudicus (talk) 17:31, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm presuming you can't yet; users that have been active for four days or more are listed as autoconfirmed. Autoconfirmed users can do things such as page moves, edit semi-protected pages, and upload images. Hang in there, and by December 11 you should be able to upload images. Besides, I'm not sure if a picture of a school is the best thing to upload, especially if it's going on to Wikimedia Commons. From there, a file can go to other Wikipedias, not just English. --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 17:42, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Also, see below: --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 17:54, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Watch for when that link turns from red to blue. When it does, click on it, and I will have a coaching process set up for you. --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 17:54, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here we go

[edit]

OK Spudicus, what would you like to learn first?

  • Civility
  • Dealing with vandalism
  • Administrative stuff
  • Contributing to Wikipedia
  • Cool HTML stuff
  • User scripts
  • Bot scripts
  • What Wikipedia is not
  • Policies

That probably won't be all. Feel free to take your time; I have homework to do, but I'll report back as soon as I'm done to see what you would like to learn first. --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 18:59, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would it be possible to start with Bot scripts?Spudicus (talk) 22:35, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
SineBot's comin' for ya. Sadly, I'm not so sure if I can teach you about bot scripts for now. But it would be a good idea to read up on Wikipedia's bot policy. You can also ask bot owners like Addshore (1) and CWii (2, 3, 4, 5) for assistance. Or, you can ask the owner of SineBot, Slakr. Would you like to learn about user scripts, the next closest thing? --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 22:22, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks I'm not sure what user scripts are at the moment and I won't be back online until c.6pm tomorrow. Thanks.Spudicus (talk) 22:35, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. Why can't SineBot sign for you?
SineBot only signs for people who don't sign their posts. Also, read up on WP:US. It's a big help in the world of user scripts. My favorites are Twinkle and Friendly. Read their documentations sometime, like when you're back on the computer. You'll need your your monobook.js for user scripts. --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 22:45, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry but I just can't understand user scripts. I can and have used java code but I can't work out where you import from and how one line will actually work.
PS. I didn't sign this comment so if SignBot works it should be here when you read it!
OK, then. What would like to learn next? Special pages is a new option, BTW. --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 20:08, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK then, we shall do Special pages then and apparently SignBot doesn't work so I have to sign this!Spudicus (talk) 20:10, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Very well then. --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 20:23, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Special pages

[edit]

Special pages are pages that are created on the fly. You can go to Special:Specialpages for a list of all special pages. I have to go now to do my homework, but I'll be back when I get a break. --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 20:23, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks , I understand them now. Could you show me What Wikipedia is not next.Spudicus (talk) 21:04, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. I love TY, I can watch all you non-TYs dredging through homework and tests while I make movies, go paintballing, watch movies, go ice-skating and play on my iPhone----While stuffing my face during another day off at the cinema to watch movies!

Obvious sock

[edit]

This account is fairly obviously a sock of The Spudicus (talk · contribs), which in turn is a sock of Ianxp (talk · contribs). PhilKnight (talk) 22:25, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked indefinitely

[edit]
And I actually trusted you. I can't believe myself. --Dylan620 Contribs Sign! 22:47, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I can see the similarity in names but I am not a sockpuppet of The Spudicus.I don't know what would make you think that I was this vandal! I have not damaged wikipedia I have just tried to help wikipedia. Could I please be given a chance here?

Decline reason:

I'm a little depressed that you think I could review this account's contributions, compare them with your contributions on the other accounts, and not recognize that you are the same person. It makes me sad to realize that you believe I'm that dumb. Sigh. — FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 13:03, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Sorry FisherQueen, tat was for Elonka as I hate her but will you please tell her that I have found the way to get my bot in wikipedia. I found the monobook.js files!!! Imagine how eay it would be to distroy this site with its own security sytems!!!!Spudicus (talk) 13:06, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I encourage you to try. Wikipedia has lots of volunteers who enjoy improving our security; if you find and exploit a flaw in the wiki security, the process of correcting what you do will make Wikipedia better. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 13:07, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So you agree that I could destroy the site? How could the security teams stop me if I got into the servers? What if all of the adminis accounts were compremised? If all the Adminis are gone over than no-one could slow me down!!!!!!!!Spudicus (talk) 13:10, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I'm not one of the technical folks, and I have no idea what you're thinking of doing, or what we have in place to stop you from doing it. But I have a lot of faith in the volunteers who work on that side of the encyclopedia; they've shut down some pretty clever attacks in the past. If you, a not-too-bright schoolboy, have discovered an uncorrected opening in the system, then others can, too, so we will be grateful for your attack as an opportunity to make Wikipedia's security stronger. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 13:14, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Would you be able to give me links to the ggod attacks so I can succed
Well, that wouldn't make any sense, would it? Any successful attacks on Wikipedia that have been chronicled on the internet exploited gaps in security that have been corrected; you should use this new vulnerability that you've found. You were very confident, this morning, that you already knew how to destroy Wikipedia by using the monobook.js files to get into the servers and compromise all of the administrator accounts, blocking administrators from editing. I don't know how to do that myself, but it sounds like a good plan, and your execution of it should be excellent practice for the volunteers who keep Wikipedia safe from hacking. I'm surprised you haven't done it already; are you just waiting for a time with peak usage? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:48, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If the holes have been filled there must be a way to unblock them. And if I was able to hack the servers I would shut them down. It's hard but a good bot should do it.I am away at the moment so I shall not be able to attack until I have found the sercurity users. And it takes time to hack so many firewalls. Happy Pondering!!!Spudicus (talk) 18:44, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Elonka, just to let you know I saw your consersation FisherQueen. Just to let you know I hate you as do the other 13 Ians that you have helped to be blocked.WIKI-PEE-IN-MY-PANTS, WIKIPEDOFILE. Destroy Wikipedia. Spudicus (talk) 18:51, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
By the way its taking you longer and longer to find my new accounts. I will always be here no matter how many times I get blocked. See you love.Spudicus (talk) 19:03, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
