Regarding this edit of yours - you had better be bold and do such things yourself. Wikipedia has no real "moderators", as each one of us is supposed to act as one. We do have admins, but if you want them to take care of something, you need to notify them, either personally or on an admin noticeboard. And when almost nobody is interested in an article, a flaw is likely to remain there for a year... In this case, I happened to look at the article and deleted the ridiculous text myself, but that was a pure coincidence. Best regards, --194.145.161.227 17:11, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your not being able to edit Highgate Vampire

[edit]

I'm not too knowledgeable about such technical issues, but I don't see how the edit facility can have disappeared for you if it was ever available in the first place. If you have never registered as a user, it is strange that you did have access to the semi-protected article before. In that case, you should register (create an account) in order to be able to continue editing this article. Even then, it is likely that you will have to wait a little, just as VRS did. If that doesn't help, I guess you should request assistance from a specific administrator on his/her talk page (for example User:Kukini above, who has welcomed you and explicitly invited you to ask him questions, or anybody else in the Wikipedia:List of administrators) or at the Wikipedia:Village Pump. --194.145.161.227 01:23, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for providing some background - I apologize for the ignorant parts of my remarks. --Trödel 15:35, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your msg on WP:ERRORS

Simpsonworthing 11:02, 1 August 2006 (UTC)simpsonworthing: Are you 100% sure it's 'Knights of Columbus' and named after Christopher C? Because I seem to remember a relative belonging to it some 60 years ago (in the UK) and I thought he called it 'Knights of St Columba', i.e. the Irish saint. I do not have an RC encyclopedia handy to check in.[reply]

Maybe your relative was in 'The Order of the Knights of Saint Columbanus' or the 'Knights of Saint Columba', not the 'Knights of Columbus'; all three are founders of the International Alliance of Catholic Knights. --64.229.5.214 20:50, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
