Vince McMAhon

[edit]

Hello,

Thank you for providing reasons for you're retractions but like the other user you are not paying attention to it. It is not vandalism, it offers neutral POV, and my comments reflect McMahon, not Hart or the screwjob.

Please leave it alone.

McMahon comments removal

[edit]

All paragraphs have a POV or another when it comes to a figure related to pop culture. Sometimes users are too touchy about what is considered POV etc, I simply believe you are one of them. Leave it alone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ToonIsALoon (talkcontribs) 09:41, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry we are coming to disagreements on my comments. I will add more sources when i get a

chance but for now there isn;t alot more i can do. My comments are only to be reverted if they insinuate vandalism. They don't. I have said this many times now. Pop culture is a difficult thing to write about as many people are very picky and "ego-matic" about what is written about them. To be honest, i can't see why you're taking offence. I really cannot. As told to other users, i will welcome a proposed verion of you're own if you are that worried about the contents of what i have added. I will expect a majority of my contributions to the included however. On ref points, wikipedia's preferred web sources for my contributions are limited, but they are fully referenced with footage available on DVD. Regards,

ToonIsALoon (talk) 22:03, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm in the process of reworking the comments in what i hope will be more suitable for

wikipedia's liking. Nonetheless, thanks for the feedback.

[edit]

Hello Simon. You reverted my link target corrections on Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/Decisions, stating: "We are talking about the official policy, please don't revert decided links". You might want to check where WP:COLLAB actually goes: originally to User:Fyslee/First law, a user's private sandbox, and starting today to Wikipedia:Collaboration first, a behavioural essay. Neither has ever been policy.

I don't really mind either way; Wikipedia:Collaboration first is a pretty appropriate link target for the motto anyway. —{admin} Pathoschild 03:38:17, 06 February 2009 (UTC)

sorry, I didn't know. I saw that it went to an essay, so I thought it differed from WP:Collabrate. Sorry for any inconvience. It's just that it has been decided with those links, so it is best not to change anything. Thanks for the notice, though. SimonKSK 15:53, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine. I also changed the link on Wikipedia:Motto of the day/March 1, 2009, if you'd like to revert that too. —{admin} Pathoschild 19:22:08, 06 February 2009 (UTC)

Explain

[edit]

Please explain to me how WWE's official website and another site that is used for citation three other times in the same article is considered unreliable. I'm pretty sure Wikipedia's standards say that factual changes override so-called "consensus." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wwehurricane1 (talkcontribs) 02:08, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would say that having it on their OFFICIAL WEBSITE qualifies as an announcement. And if wrestle view is unreliable, then everything in the article that uses it as a source should be removed. That doesn't even make sense.Wwehurricane1 (talk) 02:19, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1. Why else would they change it? 2. They also changed it on the video for WWE on Pay Per View that airs during their shows. Go back and watch it if you have this week's shows on DVR. I did when I read that in that other discussion.Wwehurricane1 (talk) 02:26, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I can read. There is no need to start attacking me. The video that aired on RAW was a promotional ad, but unfortunately, I can't take it from my DVR and put it here.Wwehurricane1 (talk) 02:31, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WP:CANVAS

[edit]

Re your message on my talk page How did I violate WP:Canvas? My notice was not biased (it stated only the facts and did not attempt to persuade), partisan (it informed editors on both sides of the issue) or secret (it was on-wiki). It was also a limited posting, informing only the two editors directly involved (though I did inform one of the editors via both his user talk page and his IP talk page). I can't see how this is violating WP:Canvas. superlusertc 2009 February 04, 05:31 (UTC)

Rosters

[edit]

You're not going to get full protection. You just have to report that user for not adhering to a consensus and the WP:NOT, WP:GUIDE policies. In addition, you just can't go around removing rosters, you have to leave a summary in replacement.--<TRUCO> 503 19:51, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

None. What he has done is not vandalism (AIV), he hasn't reverted more than 3 times (3RR), and he doesn't disrupt daily, I would wait to see if he continues, if he does, then you can open a ANI, but until then, its best to wait.--<TRUCO> 503 19:56, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Are you planning on turning the Impact list into a paragraph? If not, it should stay in until someone else does. That is what the consensus was; that rosters can stay in if they are put into prose in a section. They shouldn't just be deleted though. TJ Spyke 20:54, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
OK, just wondering. I've seen editors just delete stuff that can stay in the article if they are mentioned in prose (like trivia). My opinion is that for stuff like that, an editor shouldn't delete it if they aren't willing to do the work. TJ Spyke 21:00, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WP:AN3

[edit]

Although I know you are aware of the discussion currently taking place at AN3, protocol dictates that I should give you an official notice that you are included in the discussion as an involved party to the edit war.

In addition, although i'm sure you are aware of this policy, editing other peoples' comments in Talkspace or Projectspace is frowned upon except for a few non-controversial circumstances. I would appreciate it if you did not do that again. Because you self-reverted, though, i'm sure it was an accident that you realized afterwards. Firestorm (talk) 16:18, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Editor Review

[edit]

Hello Simon. I would like to thank you for your honest feedback on my Editor Review. I appreciate that you took time out of your editing to review my editing. Once I build my edit count up to at least 5,000 edits, I plan on nominating myself for an RFA. I've been around for several years, but because of a very long wikibreak, my edit count is under 1,500. Unfortunately, no matter how good you do, editors won't support an RFA with that few edits, so I wanted to make sure I was on the right track for one when I have the edit count to support a successful RFA.

I'm not sure why I'm still typing, because it must be rambling at this point, so I think i'll end it here by saying thanks again for your feedback. Firestorm Talk 23:39, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lol agreed,Ride the Lightning was their best imo Refriedbeansmexicano (talk) 21:15, 11 July 2010 (UTC)Refriedbeansmexicano[reply]

Yeah a few songs on Black are good though,I really dont like Load and ReLoad that much except for like 2 or 3 songs, the best Metallica was 80s Metallica Refriedbeansmexicano (talk) 21:19, 11 July 2010 (UTC)Refriedbeansmexicano[reply]

No I told you, that sentence has nothing to do the the first St. Anger, it has to do with whether the alias for this new album really exsists.Stuntman Steve (talk) 22:44, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

MOTD is currently discussing possible changes to how the project is done. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Please see Wikipedia talk:Motto of the day/Nominations/Archive 2#Suggested Changes. Thank you for your time. Simply south (talk) 23:04, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. —DoRD (talk) 22:53, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please, do NOT approve mottoes for the period from 25 December (2010) to 5 January 2011. I think we have enough time to discuss the Christmas series. Thanks & Best! –pjoef (talkcontribs) 08:50, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
