Your report to WP:AIV

[edit]

I removed your report of Pure rabari (talk · contribs) as I don't see evidence of vandalism (maybe misguided or promotional but not simple vandalism), unless you can explain otherwise.

Also your first edit was to a sockpuppet investigation. That makes me suspicious... Care to explain who you are and why this account is new but you clearly aren't? Peter 20:03, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

I have made IP edits in the past and I have just wandered around Wikipedia which is how I know how to make SPIs, Afds etc. I still am new to Wikipedia which is possibly why I thought Pure rabari was a vandal but isn't. I apologize for my mistake and I will study more of the ways of Wikipedia before coming to conclusions. ShockMetric 20:06, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well if that's the case you'd better have this:

OHA wiki page

[edit]

Hi, please don't delete! I'm in the process of adding several references now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Luroc (talkcontribs) 19:43, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not an admin so I can't delete. The page is structured like an ad anyway so it is more than likely to be speedy deleted. ShockMetric 19:45, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

En el nombre del hijo (film)

[edit]

Could you explain why you added a speedy deletion tag to this? Ironholds (talk) 20:07, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The reference to a man having "sexual intercourse with his mother" got me suspicious that this was vandalism. ShockMetric 20:10, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
And you did nothing to check that it was vandalism, and did not click on the external link which shows that the film indeed exists and won that award? You just tagged it for deletion because you thought it might be vandalism? Ironholds (talk) 21:06, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
One of the links was to an www.example.com, which has nothing to do with films. I didn't check the other link and I tagged it for deletion because the subject of a man and his mother "having sex" seemed a bit controversial for an award winning film. ShockMetric 21:10, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You're right. After all, Lolita was never considered important, and whoever heard of Oedipus the King? You tagged an article for speedy deletion as vandalism because you thought it looked a bit blue. That is not appropriate. Ironholds (talk) 21:15, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Kartuli (dance) has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://users.bestweb.net/~notr/kartuli/index.html.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 15:32, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Altered speedy deletion rationale: Maths Worldwide

[edit]

Hello Shockmetric. I am just letting you know that I deleted Maths Worldwide, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. GedUK  19:36, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You put a warning on the creator's talk page - which I found when tagging the article myself. I think you missed the actual sd tag somehow. (Done it myself before now...) Peridon (talk) 21:22, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know if the page had been deleted and then recreated (due to the time difference between our notices on the user talk page)? Plus, in the article's history I couldn't find my edit. If not then I do apologise for my mistake. ShockMetric 21:27, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Didn't check that - it was deleted earlier. My mistake for not looking at times. Keep up the good work. Peridon (talk) 21:30, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry about it, I think a lot of users do that. As you said to me, keep up the good work :) ShockMetric 21:33, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your eyes please...

[edit]

I would ask that you might revisit the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aril (singer/actor) and revisit the article on Aril (singer/actor). Since your comments of two days ago, I think I have addressed concerns and given it a decent chance to survive and serve the project. Thanks, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 23:56, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Changed to keep. The Afd will probably close as snow keep. Thank you for your contributions and keep up the good work. ShockMetric 09:00, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the article still needs work... but thank you much for the consideration. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 15:11, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The page was blanked and therefore qualified for G7 bai the time you got here. You didn't have to initiate an automated process that would stlck a speedy deletion warning on the talk page on a newbie. --I dream of horses @ 18:26, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ah my bad, I didn't see the blank nor did Twinkle pick it up. I do apologize for this and I will check history in the future before tagging pages. ShockMetric 18:29, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I NPP'd in the past, I know it's very difficult to do. --I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 18:31, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Shockmetric (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I should of said this before: the Nelder family live across the street from me and Blain, who is still at school didn't know that Shockmetric (me) lived across the street from him. I allowed the family permission to use my wireless router as theirs is currently being repaired and they can't run a LAN cable around their house but I didn't know that Blain Nelder would use this privalige to vandalise Wikipedia. It was only when I came onto Wikipedia earlier that I realised who it really was. I do apologise as I should have declared that I was letting others use my IP. Due to this event, I have secured it so that only I can access it.

Decline reason:

Having read the blocking Admin's comments, I am convinced since the technical and circumstantial evidence are both against you- in short it's all too convenient, and I'm afraid I don't believe your explanations. Rodhullandemu 17:42, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I have restored access to this page as Shockmetric; you should be able to log in now. Rodhullandemu 16:46, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't believe the story. Here's some other good hand/bad hand behavior: On April 18th, User: Sam Henry J. Worthington creates Bliko. Within the same minute, on the same IP, but with a different browser, Shockmetric requests speedy deletion of the article. There's a lot of similar stuff. We're looking at this guy. --jpgordon::==( o ) 17:10, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That may also have been Blain. I reported Dalejenkins as before I made my account here, I wandered around with an IP and I knew about SPIs, Afds etc. I used an IP at the time I discovered Dalejenkins. ShockMetric 17:30, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
