Hi Scartol,

I know you're busy, this being the end of the semester and all, but I've finally mustered enough courage to request that folks look at some of my articles. Sesame Street, for example. It's at the point that it's at least presentable, but it's way long. I'm too close to it to know what sections should be split off into new articles, so would you mind taking a look and giving me some input about that? I'd appreciate it, as always. Hope you and your family have a nice Turkey-Day. Christine (talk) 17:27, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

I'll try, but I can't promise anything very soon. Happy T-Day wishes to you too! Scartol • Tok 18:35, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
Like I said, no hurries. You're worth the wait. Whenever you can, take your time. I've also asked Awadewit to look at History of Sesame Street, but I know she's busy too. Aren't we all, especially this time of year. Christine (talk) 19:09, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
Okay, so here's what I think: The "Format" section is pretty long, and a lot of the info (if memory serves) appears in the History of Sesame Street article. I would combine those two sub-sections into one main section, of 4-5 paragraphs. While the info in "Music" is interesting, it could be trimmed by 2-3 paragraphs -- maybe moved into the History article, or forked into its own. Maybe an article about "Sesame Street Guest Stars"?
I think the "Educational Goals" is the biggest target for forking. I think the most essential info could max out at 5-6 paragraphs -- right now it's 18. Later on, "Critical reception" is also very very long.. I expect there's a lot you could add to make "Reception of Sesame Street" its own article?
Good luck with it! I wish I had more time to give it a more thorough going-over. Looks like a lot of superb research and writing, as usual. Scartol • Tok 00:21, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, dude, you're awesome.
You're right--a lot of the info in the "Format" section is in the history article, but the information is expanded in the mommy article. The focus of the information in History focuses on The Show's development. Maybe a "Format of Sesame Street" creation? I agree with you about the Music section, although I want to avoid a Guest Star article because that could devolve into a list, and there is plenty of mention about the celebrity appearances. Out of all the sections, I thought that "Educational Goals" had the most potential for forking, followed by the Reception section. I'll get to forkin', just in time for Thanksgiving! ;) Again, thanks, it's appreciated as usual, and happy holidays. It snowed here last night! Christine (talk) 13:01, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
