Hi. Welcome to wikipedia. I can understand why you want to ensure that an article on yourself is correct and fair. However, there is a policy on wiki that all information needs to be properly sourced to reliable and notable sources. This means you can't add information that is not sourced just because you yourself personally know it to be true. I am adding some links below so that you can have a look at the policies on sourcing. The most relevent ones are WP:RS, WP:V and WP:BLP. There is also a policy called WP:COI which is about having to be extra careful when editing an article where you may have a conflict of interest. Don't hesitate to ask if you need any help. Cheers. Fainites barleyscribs 23:23, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:Bruce Robinson CD 3 cover photo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Bruce Robinson CD 3 cover photo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 02:46, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Robbypad. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Bruce Robinson (baseball), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Echoedmyron (talk) 00:18, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
