Edit request for Sophie Hunter page

[edit]

Can you please insert this parameter to Sophie Hunter's page as she has notable family members. You can just copy-paste the one I've coded below and just replace the parentheses with brackets for linking. The sources are in the page's family section. Thank you very much and keep up the good work you do here on Wiki! 89.144.230.37 (talk) 02:40, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

RachelRice, it would seem that this IP is actually a blocked sock wanting to get content readded that was deleted because of his socky-ness. -- WV 03:05, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Vote to Save

[edit]

Hi, just to let you know that Channel 5 haven't updated the FAQ's on their website as it still refers to the last Celebrity series. So I doubt the Save format will return this year. --MSalmon (talk) 09:19, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, sorry about that! — RachelRice (talk, contribs) — 10:06, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It's ok --MSalmon (talk) 10:19, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
They have updated the FAQ's and it is Vote to Evict as usual --MSalmon (talk) 19:21, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks. — RachelRice (talk, contribs) — 21:53, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I was wondering, in this draft, how do you decide which guest characters to include? I added Adam Wallace because he's been in four episodes and is mentioned in plots, but now so is Harry Fielding who only appears in one episode. –anemoneprojectors13:39, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I usually just include people who have been a part of a storyline. People who are there but have only had one appearance are guest characters, I add them if their role as a guest character was significant. I shy away from including police officers and nurses (except for Keeble and Cameron), since, although they can appear frequently, it's usually only in a couple scenes. I think it does need a bit of clearing up though. — RachelRice (talk, contribs) — 15:43, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
So would that mean Harry Fielding should be included? Personally I would most likely add everyone that has a named character, as we do in the character lists, and it wouldn't mean having an opinion on who is significant and who isn't. But maybe that's just me. What do you think? I was actually in the process of counting appearances for 2014 when you added them to my draft, so if you hadn't and I'd carried on, I'd probably have added more characters. –anemoneprojectors16:19, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
If you think someone should be included then fire away, add them. I know I've missed quite a few people out. As long as the list doesn't get stupidly big, that is! :-) — RachelRice (talk, contribs) — 17:21, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'll have a look and see what I think... Can I ask if you have a quick way of counting the appearances? –anemoneprojectors17:36, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Having a quick look at who is in the 2015 characters list - I think Margaret Badini should be put back because of the number of episodes (12 is a lot for a doctor in one year!) Maybe Helen Stritch QC, Adrian Quinlan QC and Judge St. John Redmond because they had 6 eps each, were part of a high-profile storyline, were mentioned in the press as upcoming cast, and all the actors have Wikipedia articles. I'd also put Jonathan Malnet in there because I think when June is completed, he might be mentioned, and obviously Harry Fielding I've already mentioned. What do you think about those? The others are probably not worth mentioning. –anemoneprojectors17:44, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, sounds good! — RachelRice (talk, contribs) — 18:20, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I was just thinking: what about Tracey the barmaid? She's bound to be mentioned in an upcoming episode, but isn't usually credited for her appearances, making an episode count pretty difficult. –anemoneprojectors08:06, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

She's just an extra so I don't think it would be right to include her. — RachelRice (talk, contribs) — 15:33, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
In fact it's tonight's episode, where Kathy phones her at the Vic. If the list of cast features everyone who is mentioned in the episode synopses then she'd have to be included. –anemoneprojectors15:43, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Could we perhaps put (1 episode) for her and leave a note to say that this is her only credited appearance? — RachelRice (talk, contribs) — 15:48, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds better. If it works out that we don't need to mention her, then we don't need to list her, but I can't see that happening :-) –anemoneprojectors16:10, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
In your next update of the cast appearances, can you add in the jury foreman, even though he was unnamed, as he is mentioned for a few of the episodes. Also Sami Jackson and Hazel Warren (just want to make sure these guest characters aren't forgotten). Thanks anemoneprojectors08:36, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I added them for you. Also, the new Dennis Rickman Jnr actor needs to be included, but I'm not sure of his episode count, is it just one at the moment? :-) –anemoneprojectors18:36, 20 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
What I did for 2014 for Bobby was put both the actors' names (separated by '&'), this way we have an episode count for the character rather than the actor. — RachelRice (talk, contribs) — 19:15, 20 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I see. But the 2014 draft in my userspace only has Eliot Carrington listed, not Rory Stroud. –anemoneprojectors21:25, 20 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Must've been deleted or something, I'll switch it back. — RachelRice (talk, contribs) — 15:33, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Did you?

[edit]

Did you not get a notification for this? I could really use the feedback. [1] --LulzWhateven (talk) 14:25, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I did, I'm just waiting for others to reply. I've said all I needed to say on the matter it's just up to others whether they want to agree or disagree. — RachelRice (talk, contribs) — 15:33, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Why won't they reply? I don't understand. I think it can be constructive. It's making me sad. I put an effort into it and nobody gives a flying fuck. --LulzWhateven (talk) 19:49, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Doctor Who

[edit]

Hey, RR. Here's my concerns on the entry for the Eighth Doctor's television movie in the Series Overview table. There's two ways to view it. 1) Viewing it as a movie itself, there's no way to determine when a movie stopped it's original airing worldwide, much like typical movies released now. 2) Viewing it as a single episode, it is only released, giving it a singular release date, and no ending date, just like any episode released between 1963 and now. In both of these, no ending date exists. If you have opposing views, I'd definitely be interested in hearing them (ping me). Alex|The|Whovian 11:23, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Would Night of the Doctor be any significance, the eighth Doctor was in this one aswell.--Lerdthenerd wiki defender 11:31, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No, as the entry in the Series Overview is specifically for the television movie, not specifically for the Eighth Doctor. Alex|The|Whovian 11:37, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hello AlexTheWhovian. The reason I thought 12 May should be stretched to both boxes, is because "last aired" refers to when the season last aired, and not the episode. Although the TV movie isn't a season, we seem to be treating it as such by including it in the table. Plus, it's listed as a TV movie so I don't think cinema screenings would count anyway. — RachelRice (talk, contribs) — 13:21, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

EastEnders episodes

[edit]

Hi RachelRice, I have recently been looking for another project to get involved with on Wikipedia and have noticed yours and AnemoneProjectors work with the EastEnders episodes. I am really interested in helping you both out and building on the great articles you currently have. If you would be willing to accept my offer, I would be much grateful and able to start assisting you straight away.

Thanks, Soaper1234 (talk) 13:14, 30 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Soaper1234. I would say you are free to help. The main part that needs help in the 2015 episodes list is the completion of June and July's storylines, as Rachel stopped in June and I started in August! Other than that, there is a list at User:AnemoneProjectors/List of EastEnders episodes of work in progress, and you are more than welcome to edit any of the existing pages or even to start the red linked ones, either using the BBC site to list older episodes, or some other realiable source where the BBC does not have the older information (consider that some sites may not have complete information). The existing ones mainly need updating to the format of the 2015 list. Hopefully, when old episodes are added, the numbers will run perfectly from 1 to 5192! If they don't, I'm not sure how to fix it. I think I already found a problem somewhere along the line. AnemoneProjectors 11:43, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, are you back? Nice to see you if you are. As you can probably see, we've come a long way with the episodes lists. We're currently trying to work out the episode numbers! All discussion has been centralised at User talk:AnemoneProjectors/List of EastEnders episodes. anemoneprojectors 15:24, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm on and off, but I'll be helping out whenever I can! — RachelRice (talk, contribs) — 15:37, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Tracey

[edit]

Hi I have a look at you List of EastEnders Episodes (2015), it's really good and very well detailed. I read a note on the bottom mentioning that an episode this year was Tracey's only credited appearance but according to IMDB http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0805510/ she has been credited before and I have found such an example on the BBC site from 2011 http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01685y8

I hope you find this information useful Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 00:42, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Kelvin 101: It means her only credited episode in 2015, not ever. Have any 2015 credited appearances been missed off? Remembering that IMDb isn't a reliable source. AnemoneProjectors 10:30, 15 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to invite you to contribute to a discussion on whether or not "The Girl Who Died" and "The Woman Who Lived" and "Heaven Sent" and "Hell Bent" are two-parters. Over the course of 3 weeks and 2 discussions, only 3 editors including myself have contributed, so it would be a great help if you could take the time to contribute. Fan4Life (talk) 20:27, 4 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Sun darling?

[edit]

Darling, not to be rude but you've been an editor on here for over 10 years, surely you should know that The Sun is deprecated source! Regards DominosThermometer (talk) 22:16, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A simple, thoughtless mistake. Also, an editor so wise about what is and isn't acceptable should also know about Wikipedia's behavioural guidelines. I've seen some of your contributions and I can't say I'm impressed. Have a good day! — RachelRice (talk, contribs) — 11:01, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
