Hey, just thought I'd leave you a belated welcome to Wikipedia! The welcome page has lots of useful information, as does this simplified ruleset. Thanks for your work, and do feel free to contact me at my talk page if you ever want a second opinion on something. Cheers, sonia 20:11, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

P.S: I added the relevant attribution to File:SSE Logo.JPG, but can't fill in the field that asks for a source; where did you get the image? sonia 20:15, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Er, I'm a student there and I kinda made it. It's just our college logo with SSE written next to it in MSPaint really. The college website http://sse.ac.in could be used as a source? Could you do me a favour and put the image in the 'box' on the right on the Symbiosis School of Economics page. I really can't get it done, the regular image syntax doesn't seem to work.

Nevermind! Figured it out :P

Hmm. That's a problem, really. Because it's not an official logo, there's no real reason why it should be on the page. Does the school not have an official logo? (also, do remember to sign your posts. ) sonia 23:29, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, as the official logo there's no problem whatsoever- but do you have a vector version or should I create one? These tend to render better. Also, yes, the page is a bit spammy at the moment, too much like a personal page, but I'll keep an eye on it. (If you know the professors who are doing this.. might want to have a word with them :P )Thanks lots for your efforts! sonia 05:24, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I have added newspaper article links. Still working on the article. Lot of additions need to be made. Haven't finished the equilibrium part and then i need to introduce Friday (crusoe's friend) with whom he starts trading and moves out of autarky!!! - Abhilasha369 (talk) 02:24, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please go to Robinson Crusoe Economy and rate my page. You'll find this right at the bottom of the page. Thank you. :) - Abhilasha369 (talk) 05:49, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey you put an infobox! :) just noticed! thanks, it's wonderful. I was meaning to do it but kept forgetting. Yes, the article is looking much better. I think we should leave it like this, at least until something more appropriate is found (unlikely though). Thanks again! - Abhilasha369 (talk) 11:18, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

HELLPPP!! Been searching for nice references to Ragnar, yet to find anything non-academic yet reliable. Abhilasha369 (talk) 11:21, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hyuk hyuk hyuk. Thank you!!! which article are you working on? - Abhilasha369 (talk) 13:46, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is this true?? When using mspaint or similar software, holding down the 'Shift' key and drawing a line will create perfectly straight lines vertically or horizontally. wow, amazing. thanks, noted. though my article is complete. no more graphs!!! phew. Abhilasha369 (talk) 14:56, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That code was supposed to be added to the talk page of the article, not the main article page. Luckily,I did that a while ago, according to the deadlines. Btw, how come you aren't you keeping the deadlines? Whats your topic? Aren't you afraid of losing marks? Do you want article suggestions? - Abhilasha369 (talk) 06:41, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yo. the math rocks! thanks! working on un-bolding soon. Abhilasha369 (talk) 16:22, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

R.N. Podar

[edit]

Hey Purplesky, thanks for your note! I'd be happy to help you get this article accepted :). The main problem I see right now is still the lack of inline citations - only three of the sections have citations, which means that for every other section the readers have no way to verify where you got the information from. As a rule of thumb, try to have at least one citation for each section. If you can't find sources for everything in the article, that's fine - it's better to have a short, well-referenced article than a long, poorly referenced article.

If I were you, I might start by keeping only the "Introduction" and "History" sections, work on finding references for them, and deleting everything else for now. Some of the other material seems like original research, which is not allowed on Wikipedia.

Additionally, you need to watch the tone of the article. Right now some parts sound more like an advertisement for the school than a neutral encyclopedia article. For example, the line The school offers modern facilities where technology is an integral part in the process of learning and is used to its maximum advantage does not sound like a neutral description. Look at other Wikipedia articles on schools, such as Stuyvesant High School and Amador Valley High School. Do they describe their subjects with this sort of language? Again, I recommend cutting out some of the promotional material and starting over with the core of the article.

Hope that helps! Think about what I said, work on finding a citation for each section, and resubmit the article. Another editor (not myself) will review it, and hopefully it will be accepted :). Keep up the good work, and let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Thanks again, --Cerebellum (talk) 00:22, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited R. N. Podar School, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page U-16 (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome to the deletion process

[edit]

Greetings, Purplesky91, and welcome to Wikipedia's deletion process! Thank you for your contributions. As a newcomer, it may be helpful for you to read Wikipedia's deletion policy, and the pages describing the articles for deletion process, proposed deletion, and speedy deletion. Remember that deletion debates are not votes, and reasons matter, especially reasons relating to the central content policies of verifiability, neutral point of view, no original research, and what Wikipedia is not, and to the consensual community guidelines for biographies, corporations, music, and fiction. Also remember that deletion is not always the answer to a bad article. Feel free to drop me a line at my talk page if you have any questions. Again, welcome! And I apologize for this message if your already familiar with this topic. Michaelzeng7 (talk) 20:44, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
