Helpme

I need help I want to post an entry about our improv group. We do alot of things in the community, we work with alot of charities, and children orginizations. Many of our actors are in commercials and film. We want to be listed as a refference for historical tracking. What do I need to do to make it so it is in compliance and does not get deleted

Wikipedia isn't really intended as a self promotional tool. In general, if your group has reliable sources write about it, then it would be posible to have some article written based on those sources in combination with your group's website. However, there is a need for the group to have established notability.

Wow - thanks for the help! Seems your answer was the "easy" out rather then help! We are not looking for self promotion. We do a lot of good - what and how. We are all graduates of Sak Comedy Lab and they are listed here their listing shows no real contribution and is infact a masked self promotion. Tell you what how about dropping the canned responses and help me understand what I need to do to make it acceptable be specific and not just referrance.

Hi! You might also want to double-check what Wikipedia is not. I think a social networking site or a professionally maintained web site for your improv group would accomplish what you want, and more effectively as well. --A More Perfect Onion (talk) 16:53, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
