Hi, I am a retired soil surveyor with a degree in botany, and interests in soils, topography and ecology among many other things, like the relationships between prehistoric archaeology and the land resources available to people and culture. I live in west Wales, and have written what I hope is an approachable book on the soils and landscapes of Wales - Gold Under Bracken. I made a few contributions to Wikipedia several years ago, and have restarted with the encouragement of the National Library of Wales, where I am a volunteer. I have also developed a way of using my knowledge of Welsh soils to make rapid soil maps using aerial and sattelite photography, and possibly the LIDAR coverage which is now available for most of Wales.

I very much welcome any discussion or comment on my contributions. Podzolman (talk) 11:51, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Podzolman

It's Jason here, from the National Library of Wales. Thanks very much for writing the Land-use in Wales articles. It's a very useful contribution, with strengthens the corpus of information about Wales on Wikipedia. If there is something else you have in mind, that you would like to create content for, do let me know. Likewise if you would be interested in writing articles related to Welsh people or important collections at NLW, then please let me know. Many thanks Jason.nlw (talk) 07:29, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
