Talk page guidelines

Hi Phil, please do no quietly change or remove comments already replied to, as you did here. This leaves the replies without proper context, and hence can lead to misunderstandings. You might want to look at WP:TPG and in particular WP:REDACT. If you want to retract something that people have already replied to, strikeout is usually a good option.

Since my reply to your comment was still on its own, I've been able to just delete it - no harm done in this instance.
