Thanks for these additions. the bulk of the birds in the article are referenced to this book K. Ratnam (November 2004). Birds Of Tamil Nadu. Chennai: Manivaasagar Pathippagam and therefore i left the individual entries inline unreferenced (though i wonder now it may not have been a good idea). could you please add inline reference to all your recent additions. thanks for your interest again. --CarTick (talk) 23:15, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from VWBot. I have performed a search with the contents of List of birds of Andhra Pradesh, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: List of birds of Kerala. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. VWBot (talk) 14:31, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

But here the original content also had most of the edits by the same user - so accreditation applies ? Paintedstork (talk) 11:11, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of birds of Karnataka, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Hyderabad and James Davidson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:24, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Updated both & thanks Paintedstork (talk) 11:11, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of New Ornis Foundation, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://ornithologyexchange.org/resources/organizations.html/_/ornithol-org/new-ornis-foundation-r170.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Speedy deletion nomination of Indian Birds

[edit]

Hello Paintedstork,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Indian Birds for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Arthistorian1977 (talk) 06:34, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Indian Birds requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Birds of Kerala

[edit]

thanks for your note regarding the page.....scientific names and species are a difficult thing to standardize on the bird pages. there is not one source wikiproject birds has standardized on for scientific name or species updates. in that light, only 2 I know of regularly publish updates on line to keep up with changes-the IOC and Ebird. In most cases, I wait for both to change for the same result before I make any changes.....Howard & Moore does not update online so I can't see their updates, which is why I don't use them......hope that helps.....Pvmoutside (talk) 03:21, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
