Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, PHP Ehsan. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page PHP Family, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Eostrix  (🦉 hoot hoot🦉) 08:10, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to PHP Family. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 10:25, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest and paid editing

[edit]

Information icon Hello, PHP Ehsan. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Sufi Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

Based on your username, you appear to have a strong conflict of interest with respect to PHP Family aka PHP Group of Industries, including PHP Automobiles Limited and Sufi Mohammed Mizanur Rahman.

If you are employed by or otherwise paid to edit Wikipedia, you must read and follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Paid editing disclosure.

Whether or not you are paid, you are strongly encouraged to read and follow the guidance at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. In particular, it is highly recommended that, rather than adding content directly to articles in which you have a "conflict of interest," you make a request on the talk page and use the {{requested edit}} template. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:31, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

COI userbox malfunction

[edit]

To make the userbox work, remove the "nowiki" markup and remove the bolding markup. The actual wiki code should read like what you see in green here: {{UserboxCOI|1=PHP Automobiles}}. You can see how it should look at Template:COI userbox.

Note that this is NOT the same as the paid editing disclosure, which is required if you are paid to edit Wikipedia or if it is part of your job (see WP:Paid editing disclosure). davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:57, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Thanks for the guidelines. I'll be following them. Regards PHP Ehsan (talk) 14:47, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
