Hi,
I have taken over from Oliver Seager as Samir Shah's Personal Assistant. My name is Tomos Harrison, and I have been making the recent edits on his page, at his request. Is it possible to have the username changed over to me? OliverSeager (talk) 09:39, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thankyou for responding and being open and this situation can now be managed. You will be strongly advised not to edit the article except for spelling mistakes and vandalism reversion. I will in general support COI/PAID edit suggestions if people are open. My best understanding is you will need a fresh username as can't they can't be shared or allocated to a job, but I'd prefer other people advised on that ... ask at WP:TEAHOUSE if necessary unless someone else adives here first, though I'll probably check back myself sometime. Thankyou. Djm-leighpark (talk) 10:11, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please review the discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard#Samir Shah which has helpful information on how to handle this. Thankyou. Djm-leighpark (talk) 18:50, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have blocked this account because it is being used by someone other than the person who originally created it (see section above). Sharing Wikipedia accounts is not permitted nor are usernames that impersonate others (i.e. the original owner of the account). To continue editing you will need to create a new account, under your own name or a pseudonym. You will also have to read and follow our conflict of interest and paid editing guidelines which means, to put it briefly: disclose your conflict of interest and do not edit Samir Shah directly. We welcome contributions but please understand that Wikipedia is a volunteer-written encyclopaedia, not a social networking site or means of promotion. Editors here only to promote something or someone are usually blocked. – Joe (talk) 08:30, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
