Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Ahmed Midaoui requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Hi there, re: these changes, though I know you meant well, you should probably take a look at our guidelines on linking. Generally speaking, we don't need multiple wikilinks for the same concepts, as all links compete for reader attention. We never link to years or months or dates. Not only does it look weird to do so, but links should attempt to help readers answer questions they might have, and nobody's ever going to say, "Gee, I wonder what June 3rd is..." Common words/concepts/ideas should not be linked. Also, when we provide a link to an article that does not yet exist (indicated by a red link, like for Sadda Move), we should only be doing so if there is a reasonable chance an article will be created on the subject. A random song from a film soundtrack is not likely to be notable enough to warrant a unique article. More info can be found at WP:OVERLINK. Ami Banglay Gan Gai

[edit]

Please do not add copyrighted lyrics to articles, as you did to the article Ami Banglay Gan Gai because this is a copyright violation, and goes against Wikipedia's non-free content policy and general content policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. - Arjayay (talk) 14:04, 5 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Arjayay: These lyrics are not copyrighted. Because Bengali wikipedia contains these lyrics.

Orphaned non-free image File:Muktijoddha Sangsad logo.jpeg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Muktijoddha Sangsad logo.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:54, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Akif Jafar Hajiyev, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Azerbaijani (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:16, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

In your recent edits to Integer sorting, you added five citeseerx links, of which one (the Han and Thorup paper) appears to violate WP:ELNEVER. Links to publications should only be added when they can clearly be demonstrated to come from either the author or the publisher. In this one, the link shown by citeseerx goes to a personal web site of Ben Vandiver, who is neither one of the co-authors of the paper nor its publisher. Please be more careful adding such links; repeated violations of Wikipedia's linking policy could cause you to be blocked. —David Eppstein (talk) 14:22, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there. I noticed just now you've created a "review" page for Cutie Q, an article I've nominated for GA, however it doesn't look like a review and simply has a talk page notice instead. Are you gonna review this? Thanks. Namcokid47 (talk) 01:33, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

CampWiz error

[edit]

Hi Nokib, I'm unable to submit articles on CampWiz. It says "Internal Error: Query not Found"; do you know why's that happening? Although I've submitted my articles through Fountain but the organiser said it's better to submit in both... (Fountain and CampWiz) Ayesha46 (talk) 17:20, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Ayesha46: I am extremely sorry to hear that. Which article you were trying to submit? Actually, I checked the logs during some routine maintenance and saw, conincidentally and sadly, you were one of the most victim of maintenance. Please let me know about the details. Or you can directly submit a bug request on here Nokib Sarkar Poke 17:23, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also I'm talking about articles on Simple English Wikipedia, not here. Ayesha46 (talk) 17:35, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Ayesha46I am extremely sorry for the inconvenience. It seemed like my bot account was not registered in simple english wikipedia. That's why, the bot account was getting error, and thereby, you were getting error. Now it is fixed. Please let me know if any issue happens. Nokib Sarkar Poke 17:48, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Help Wanted

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Nokib Sarkar (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I don't know why my IP is blocked on English Wikipedia from editing though I don't have any VPN, proxy, or such things. I can use other wikis easily without any issues. Sometimes I run my bot (not here) from this IP. I already applied for an IP block three times but they just straight said, this is a proxy IP. I am very much frustrated that they do not see my usage of this IP in other Wikipedia to establish that I am not abusing the system. - Nokib Sarkar Poke 11:18, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

If you asked for an IP block exemption and were denied, there is nothing more we can do for you in that regard. You have made edits, so evidently you can edit. 331dot (talk) 18:26, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
