Adaudo's Peer Review of Camp TURKSOM

[edit]

Hi Nilsu,

Thank you for an interesting article on Camp TURKSOM.

LEAD The lead gives a good overview. However, a couple of things need to be clarified for the reader: What is NCO? What efforts did Al-Shabaab replicate that earned AU criticism? This sentence in particular is not clear.

HISTORY "AMISOM’s efforts have mainly been targeted by Al-Shabaab due to majority of its staff and soldiers being composed of non-Muslims." Would be good to know how this relates Camp TURKSOM, especially in the context of targets by Al-Shabaab on AMISOM.

The table dates to 2009. Perhaps writing (text) to give more details for context. The table currently seems out of place.

FUNCTION "It can train and house approximately 1,000 soldiers at a time." What is this time specifically? Would provide a clearer timeframe. Later on it is stated "Camp TURKSOM has the capacity to accommodate approximately 1500 trainees at a certain point in time". Are these different stats?

POLITICAL IMPLICATIONS This is predominantly focused on Turkey. I wonder about implications for Somalia as a country.

CRITICISM This would need to be developed further, as it currently has sparse and vague statements.

Review punctuations, particularly commas/full stops.

Overall, the additions to the current Wiki article are substantial.

Good luck editing and finalizing the article.
