A Greeting From J.Steinbock

Vanity Page

[edit]

Some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Russell Zen may not be sufficiently well-known to merit articles of their own. The Wikipedia community welcomes newcomers, and encourages them to become Wikipedians. On Wikipedia, each user is entitled to a user page in which they can describe themselves, and this article's content may be incorporated into that page. However, to merit inclusion in the encyclopedia proper, a subject must be notable. We encourage you to write or improve articles on notable subjects. Nationalparks 02:12, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This also applies to adding your name to other pages (i.e. List of cellists). If unsure, please consult the notability guidelines. CA387 18:45, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Update: I'll take your word for it, then. It's just that I noticed that someone deleted your name off the list; I assumed it was you after I saw the "Vanity Page" thing in your user talk. Oh well, I guess you know the saying... CA387 23:24, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

typo in IB page

[edit]

China in the UN

[edit]

I have hopefully resolved your questions on the Chinese UN seat on the UN talkpage. If you have any further queries/questions/etc. please post a message on my talk page so I am aware and hopefully able to help. --CTerry 17:05, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Russell. Got your message. GA resolutions are actually binding on some things (IE the UN budget), and one of the things its binding on is who the UN recognises. In any case, shortly after the GA resolution the Americans have their rapproachment with China, and as a result recognised the PRC over the ROC anyways. --CTerry 16:02, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

[edit]

I read what you asked me, and i would say i know much of the Halo universe, and would gladly assist you in the making of your articles, tell me what you need and i'll work my magic on it.

TAS

[edit]

I only attended TAS for two years, and I really don't know if I'm the right person to ask about it. From what I read about your current high school, it seems just as good as TAS. I know next to nothing about MUN at TAS, although if you want, I might be able to redirect you to someone who does. -- Mattrixed Talk 08:22, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Halo Characters

[edit]

Basically, I felt like it.

For now, I'm commenting out some of the stuff which I can't at the moment, verify or source. The other Spartans all kick the bucket in FS, so I'm going to add those in and then worry about the rest later. By all means, if you want to show them again. Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. Thank you. NimiTize 19:01, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rainbow Six Vegas 2

[edit]

Of course more content needs to be added, but as it is the article is a shambles.

  • There is no section describing the gameplay,
  • character descriptions are too specific and are not supposed to be the first part of a page (that's where gameplay goes, character sections are usually concise and either precede or follow the plot),
  • the campaign section more closely resembles a plot section than a description of what the campaign is (it is also far too specific, with something like three or four paragraphs devoted to the first mission; entire plot sections are usually limited to three or four paragraphs),
  • and the ACES section should be moved as a subsection of gameplay.

Sections that need expansion include multiplayer and reception, and a possible addition (but not a priority) could be a development section. I tried reorganizing the article accordingly twice in the past, but each time after about a week the article falls back into disarray, so I've reduced myself to putting up that cleanup template in the hope some change will happen. For an example of a VG article that needs cleanup, look no further than the original Rainbow Six Vegas. For a generic example of an FA, see Halo 3. Odds are Vegas 2 will never reach FA status, but that doesn't mean it can't have some semblance of organization and meet a few standards.  Comandante Talk 00:28, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've already gone ahead and reorganized the article. I've readded the removed gameplay section, and moved a few things around. I'll remove the cleanup template of the changes stick this time around, but keep in mind there is still much that needs to be done.  Comandante Talk 01:07, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem.  Comandante Talk 01:10, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I never declared it vandalism (If i did) and He/she included (XBOX360 & PS3) etc. to the dates which is NOT needed. Please stay civil when you come to my talk page. NimiTize 01:16, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I stay civil and I NEVER insulted you, dont start lieing over here. I really don't understand what you are saying. On the Rainbow six release dates, under that is where it says which consoles, THATS WHAT I MEAN, stay civil and if you dont I wont respond to you. NimiTize 15:33, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yea, and don't think am some stupid guy who DOSENT know what I'm doing. I'm not acting like one so get that THROUGH your head, Ive atleast MADE edits to articles and according to your edits, on tools.wikimedia.org, youv made almost NO edits, your total is 176 edits, and for someone to be here since '06 I would know this person to stay civil, and not attacking some one, and have a decent amount of edits, before you come to my talk page and say "I've been here since Wiki first started, I know what civil means"????? Iv'e been on Wiki for ONLY 2 months, 1 month of me learning all (ALL) the Wiki guidelines and policies, plus me having 2000 edits. I stay civil and I dont go to a person's talk page, and start throwing stuff at them. NimiTize 15:46, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Your not going to stay civil, fine by me, I wont listen to any more of you, and you attacked me with the work "suck a big ego" please stop or I will report you. And YOU can't shut up and stop replying to me. NimiTize 06:38, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dated cleanup tags

Hi, thanks for your message, SmackBot does not generally add tags, but merely dates those that are already there. Regards, Rich Farmbrough, 20:46 24 March 2008 (GMT).

Hi Sweety

[edit]

Regarding this rather violent edit of yours: [1]. "...except in Germany, where the game has been delayed. The Microsoft Windows version, however, has been delayed until April 15, 2008." – The two sentences talk about being delayed; how can one have "however" in a sentence? It would need to read: "...the PS3/Xbox versions are all on time. The Microsoft Windows version, however, has been delayed..." – See what I mean? I'll wait for your reply. By the way, please try not to use capitals in edit summaries as it's considered "shouting" on the internet. Thanks buddy :-) ScarianCall me Pat 11:14, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rainbow Six 2 Vandalism

[edit]

No problem! Thanks for the quick reply and resolution.  :) I really tried not to sound like a jerk but I did want to get across that I meant well. If it's OK (I don't know the policy) I'll remove my edits on your talk page and just leave this little blurb. Can I do that, just to clean-up this stuff? Let me know what ya think, thanks again!! --Scottymoze (talk) 18:25, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Clean-up complete. Thanks and happy editing! --Scottymoze (talk) 02:21, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's obviously vandalism, but per WP:BITE, I left a softer warning due to it being his (apparent) first edit. xenocidic (talk) 19:21, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rainbow Six Vegas: 2 leak

[edit]

As I stated it lacks information, unlike Half life 2 more reliable sites/sources has been given. While you just gave a link to a not reliable source. So untill it passes WP:Crystalball + WP:RS and WP:V it should not be included in Rainbow Six Vegas 2 till then, if you do not agreed, then please point out why. Take contact! --Kanonkas :  Take Contact  14:07, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

[edit]

After just reading your message i am still unsure of what you consider to be Co-Op in a game. Co-op in Tom Clancey's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is different from many others. As the change to the article said the AI team members are now included in the game (as not seen in previous versions). Because of this the main player now has two more additional team members added to the team of two 'HUMAN' players. If you are still able to follow this specific type of Co-op AI team members can only be controlled by player 1.

Cheers for the edit as i do see a improvement from what was once there.

Hello, just to let you know, even though the IP you just reported was blocked anyway, we usually ask that users not be reported until they have made vandalism edits after being given a "level 4" warning. You can find warning templates for dealing with vandalism here – the reason for using these is that we try to assume good faith, and ideally someone will stop when they hear their edits aren't allowed (this doesn't happen very often in practice, but occasionally it does avoid the need for a block). Thanks for your help either way, and happy editing! Hersfold (t/a/c) 21:06, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because Co-op should be under multiplayer, because it is multiplayer after all. I was searching for info about the Co-op, and i found it stupid to be above multiplayer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.249.221.60 (talk) 11:53, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

the same neilthecellist that outed Ubisoft for using the Reloaded crack? If so, I love you. Nar Matteru (talk) 21:19, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Heh, that really cracked me up, especially since I was suffering from that (Actually ubisoft didn't even get around to giving me the fix, till 2 weeks after I already had the "fix" from a forum post cuz they never got around to updating my damn ticket) Really pissed me off, as it was my first time using a legit download service and to not be able to play something I payed 50 bucks for made me all Grrr and $#@*$#%&!@ Nar Matteru (talk) 16:01, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
