You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Diagnosoft, Inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 16:46, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

two accounts?

[edit]

are you the same person as Nfosman ? if so, you should only edit under one account per the policy WP:Username, or you should disclose both and explain why you have two. there are ways to merge accounts if you prefer this one. Jytdog (talk) 13:24, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I have the two accounts. I had the nfosman for a long time that I lost the login info. It will be great to merge the two accounts.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Naelosman (talkcontribs) 14:07, 15 October 2014‎(UTC)
OK. I was actually talking out my ass (!) - you cannot merge accounts in WP, nor can accounts be deleted. What would be useful, would be to add disclosures to the user page for both accounts, naming the other, and saying that you are using X account now going forward. if you listed an email when you created the other account, you can do a password reset requet; if you didn't then of course that the nfosman account will just have to lie fallow. in that case you should say on this user page that you formerly had that one (I can do that for you if you like!). Jytdog (talk) 14:46, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
by way, part of getting to know Wikipedia is "etiquette" for Talk pages. please indent your comments so that they become threaded, by adding one or more colons in front of the comment, and please sign your comments with four tildas, at the end of the comment -- the software that makes WP go will replace the tildas with links to your username and with the date -- both are important to bigger pictures here and are part of the social fabric. thanks! Jytdog (talk) 14:46, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the advice on the indentation. I can see that I have some way to go before I master Wikipedia contribution skill. Also, I tried to reset the password but I was informed by the system that the account nfosman does not have a password —-which I cannot imagine that I had forgot to add one. naelosman
gotcha. {btw, 4 tildas makes a proper, date-stamped signature :) } to save you hassle, would you be OK if added a note to your 2 user pages telling readers that this is your current account, and the other is dormant? you can always change it if you don't like that. That will take care of the "2 accounts" issue. after that I can help you with the COI disclosure, but only if you want. Jytdog (talk) 15:56, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not at all. Thanks for the help and advices. Naelosman (talk) 16:01, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ok that is done. on to more important issues! Jytdog (talk) 16:12, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

COI warning

[edit]

Hi Naelosman . You appear to have a lot of experience with MRI, and your username appears similar to that of Nael F Osman, about whom you wrote in the Strain Encoding MRI article, and who started the company Diagnosoft. IF you are indeed him, please read our WP:COI guideline, and also WP:EXPERT. Again, if you are him, please avoid writing content about yourself or your work or your company; instead, make suggestions for content and let editors without a conflict of interest consider it and add the content to the article, if it fits with our policies and guidelines. Good luck! Jytdog (talk) 13:26, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

am indeed him. I will read the guidelines. Bear in mind that I am no longer a young man and I am slow in learning new stuff. It will take time to get there.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Naelosman (talkcontribs) 14:08, 15 October 2014‎ (UTC)[reply]
thanks - that was pretty clear but we have strong policies against WP:OUTING. Please do read through COI and EXPERT and follow what is there, and be sure to disclose any conflicts on your user page. If you have any questions, I will be happy to happy; others will be too! good luck! Jytdog (talk) 14:48, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Strain Encoding MRI

[edit]

The article Strain Encoding MRI has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This orphan article has been lacking any references since its creation 2007

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.<!— Template:Proposed deletion notify --> CactusWriter (talk) 15:42, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have lost the login for the original account, nfosman. I have just created the new account, naelosman, yesterday and I should work on the entry further. Can you guys slow down as I am new to this and you keep talking about things that I don’t really understand.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 15:48, 15 October 2014 Naelosman (talkcontribs) 15:48, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
i know, it is pretty crazy! you created the new article directly in the main article space, which is an easy mistake to make. you can get away with it on "easy" subject matter where other people can jump in and help, but something highly technical like this article is not going to last long in mainspace as it is.... it just not ready for publication. the draft/sandbox approach is much better, especially for busy people, since you can develop it at your own pace, privately. i suggest copying all of it into a sandbox, and leave just a stub that you can support with sources. That way the article has integrity as a stub (see WP:STUB) and can stand for a while until you can come back and develop it more. Jytdog (talk) 16:09, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

quick note about drafting articles

[edit]

Wikipedia has "draft" spaces called "sandboxes" where you can draft an article, and when it is ready, you can move it into the main wikispace (called mainspace (not k space:) ) See Wikipedia:Sandbox - there is a link there you can click that automatically creates a sandbox just for you.... you may want to go ahead and copy one or both of the articles up for deletion into a sandbox (you can have more than one!) and continue polishing them there until they are ready to be published. Jytdog (talk) 16:02, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I just created User:Naelosman/Regional_function_of_the_heart for you and pasted the article content there so you can improve it.
I see you already have User:Naelosman/sandbox for the strain encoding article.
I also created User:Naelosman/Diagnosoft,_Inc. and will ask an admin to retrieve the deleted contents and paste them in there. not sure it is possible.
please make sure to keep the tag on the top, so no one mistakes these for articles. see Wikipedia:Subpages for how to work with these and avoid getting into trouble with them! Jytdog (talk) 17:48, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
