[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Van Morrison. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. TeapotgeorgeTalk 18:37, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agadant

[edit]

Hi, I couldn't help but notice that you tried to do some edits on Van Morrison, and ran into the famous Agadant. While you were far more polite than me, you can never win with this guy (or woman). He/She is obsessed with the Van Morrison entry on Wikipedia, and simply will not allow anyone to ever touch it, no matter how innocent the edit might be. A few years ago, even before it made Featured Article, I made a minor edit that he/she reverted back almost immediately, as if he/she's monitoring the page on a continuous basis. We got into a somewhat heated discussion in the Discussion section, and his retorts were so childish and immature, that he/she actually ended up deleting it in the Discussion section, which I thought was kind of ethically not something one should do. And by the way...the edit that I had suggested? It turned out I was right...the whole section was eventually taken out while it was being prepped to be a Feature Article. I'm not a major player on Wikipedia, but I average somewhere around 50 edits a month or so. He/She is by far the most difficult person I've ever run across on Wikipedia.
