Christopherson travel

[edit]

Hi

since you are a registered user there is no reason to use WP:AFC, you can create your own articles. The standards at Articles for Creation are going to be a bit higher than the articles for deletion, as it is not use accepting an article that just straight away is deleted. This means that you can probably get away with crating an article your self that would not get past the reviewers. However the criteria are still basically the same, notable, original writing but not original research, and nothing illegal. References can be added later, but for AFC we insist on references to start with, to prove it was not made up. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 01:36, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

USANA BIAS

[edit]

I don't plan on telling you to shove it but I would like you to understand that I search out content from what I consider to be reliable sources. That's what we're supposed to do. If that content seems important I add it while if it does not I don't. If you perceive me to have a negative bias it's most likely because much of what has come out about USANA could be viewed as negative. This article has been banned previously due to people using it as a form of advertisement and that's not what it's supposed to be here for. I don't think that USANA is necessarily negative but I do think there is a lot of confusion out there surrounding it. I try to use legitimate sources to clear up that confusion. If that makes USANA look good or bad in the end then so be it. How about you Montypics? What's your interest in USANA? Jean314 (talk) 03:17, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Stated Bias

[edit]

I also wouldn't say that I've stated a bias. Just that many of the people I've met who have tried to approach me about USANA clearly lacked an understanding of the business. I use the term "controversial" only because I feel that some of the information they were ignorant of was pretty important in my opinion. Jean314 (talk) 03:21, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Me Again

[edit]

Montypics please believe me when I say that you haven't ruffled any feathers. You've been extremely polite with all your postings and I appreciate the way you've approached the subject. I too was referring to my user page in the above post where I tried to clarify for you my position and interest in this subject. On my user page it says

"I'm extremely new to Wikipedia, so I'm learning the ropes and hoping not to offend anyone along the way. I've only really formally posted in the Usana article because I have repeatedly been approached by sales representatives of the company and many of them have been unaware of the more controversial issues surrounding it."

As I said above I've met many fine people in USANA who have been confused about the company and its products. I hope to correct some of this confusion by ensuring that the article here on Wikipedia has accurate information for all to see. Maybe I should adjust my user page to remove the word "controversial" because it could be seen as a negatively charged word. Jean314 (talk) 20:00, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey man sorry to bug you but i just recently editied the USANA article adding a lot of information regard the company USANA and this Jeantalk lady seems to have deleted it all. I had all credable sources and worked extremely hard on both aspects of the negative and the positive. but she deleted it all and restored her extremely unorganized page with no positive anything on usana. Is this within wikipedia guidelines? I was trying to protray a company that makes great vitamins but has had trouble in the past and she seems to what to destroy the company. You also seem to have had some issues with her and the USANA article, im completley new to wikipedia. what do you think? —Preceding unsigned comment added by DVDrummer (talkcontribs) 06:06, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Group or band – which one?

[edit]

We are holding a straw poll (in a very friendly way, of course) to decide if The Beatles should be called a group, or a band. You can add your user signature to one or the other by clicking this link, Group or band – which one?. Thanks.--andreasegde (talk) 00:00, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
