Reincarnation?

Interesting. Thanks for this. I notice you mention a Bodhisattva. Does this mean that you believe in reincarnation?

I think that I have a fairly traditional Christian view of reincarnation. Jesus seems to tell us that John the baptist is Elijah reborn.(Matthew 17:10-13) I don't know exactly what that really means, but reincarnation is a possibility. Jesus speaks of rebirth in John 3, but traditionally we consider that to be a figurative, spiritual rebirth. At times like these, I remember that the disciples thought Jesus was speaking figuratively when he spoke of the Temple being rebuilt in three days. Perhaps he was speaking of the spirit being literally reborn into a new body? It's not a strong belief of mine, but I allow the possibility. -- Mescad 05:04, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
