Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Aloriah requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Wyatt Riot (talk) 22:39, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Aloriah for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Aloriah, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aloriah until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Wyatt Riot (talk) 15:28, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Devillusion for deletion

According to Wyatt Riot anyone can become partner with Dreamhack at Dreamhack exhibitor site. This is however false since that is the registration process to sign regular seats for the event. Signing up for a player's seat does not imply that you would end up on the partner page.
Considering it is the only Swedish company conducting game development in this particular genre I would claim that this article still fulfills the matter of notability.

Your comments would be better served by adding them to the deletion discussion page as very few people will see them here. As for your reply, I've edited my own reasoning for deletion and struck out the part about registration. I'm sorry, but even being a full partner isn't "significant coverage" in independent, reliable sources as required by WP:CORP.
Quick question, though: are you affiliated with Devillusion in any way?
Cheers! Wyatt Riot (talk) 14:29, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks I will add my comments there instead. I guess there are still valid reasons for deletion. I did not realise that the mmo sources I used as references were invalid.
I am not affiliated with Devillusion, but I have played their (great) game since alpha testing and thought they deserved to exist on wikipedia as well. If there aren't reliable sources yet, I will wait until there are. Thanks for pointing things out.

It's no problem at all. If the game does become notable in the future, drop me a line and I'd be glad to help gather some sources. Cheers! Wyatt Riot (talk) 23:35, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
