Please stop adding this as part of the actors to have portrayed the Joker.

There has been a very long, very ugly case of an indefinitely blocked editor disrupting various articles trying to get this in based on their own personal beliefs and unreliable sources.

IMDb and similar are not considered reliable.

Thanks,

- J Greb (talk) 16:45, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Again, please do not add this.

Your contributed article, 1989–1997 Batman film series

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, 1989–1997 Batman film series. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Template:1989–1997_Batman_film_series. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Template:1989–1997_Batman_film_series - you might like to discuss new information at [[Talk:Template:1989–1997_Batman_film_series|the article's talk page]].

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. DoriTalkContribs 01:02, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Batman actors Schumacher-films.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Batman actors Schumacher-films.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:22, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Smallville Characters

[edit]

The reason for him not being included is because of the page size. It's 110 kb, which is extremely large. Given that John Jones is covered in detail at Justice League (Smallville), there isn't a need to regurgitate information on the list page. Grant Gabriel is a main character, JJ never was, and that is why he is listed with "little real world content". His real world content actually exists (I have it), I just have never gotten around to adding it to the page. There is real world content for many of the recurring guests, but they are at the Justice League page. You'll see that many of the main cast that have their own page have only a paragraph of information (less really) on the list page. That's to keep the page at a readable length. With JJ being just a recurring guest, he doesn't need "just a paragraph" (or more as was being added) because then people are going to want to include every guest with a paragrah and that goes against WP:WAF and WP:MOSTV.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 14:54, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Musdan77. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Superman in film‎‎ without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, you can use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia.

I noticed you worked on this article:

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Afonso_Poyart&diff=599706243&oldid=599346094

Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:

  • dates
  • years
  • commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
  • common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).

(This even applies for infoboxes.)

Thanks and my best wishes.

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:15, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Selick-and-Burton.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Selick-and-Burton.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 14:11, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
