Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Devokewater 22:46, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Scott Russell (businessperson) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Liz Read! Hi Liz,
Could you help me with the creation of this article? There are other sources such as the below which I thought could be fit in:

As SAP is one of the biggest companies in the world I thought board members would be notable enough. Levigoldstein (talk) 13:11, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Notability is not inherited. Just because a company is notable does not mean that every person affiliated with it is also notable. To have a standalone article, a subject must be independently notable.
This person needs to pass the notability criteria for people to merit inclusion. The two sources you listed don't seem good enough to prove it. The first one is a bio written either by the subject or someone close to him. The other source is covering the company and not the person. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 23:21, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

Are you affiliated with Scott Russell, either personally or professionally? If so, then you would have a conflict of interest. And if you are being paid to write about him (either as an employee or a third-party representative), then you would be considered a paid editor and have to disclose it. I'm asking only because your contributions so far have revolved around him, giving the appearance that this is a single-purpose account. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 13:48, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
