Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Leparra, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Elysia and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Sourcing

[edit]

About your edit to Rat - you added content based on what we call "primary sources" (see WP:SCIDEF and the parallel definition in WP:MEDDEF). Please base scientific content - especially anything about biology or health -- on recent literature reviews in high quality journals or high quality academic books. Please avoid assembling content that reports on a series of primary sources; it is too easy to fall into what we call synthesis this way. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 18:18, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Jytdog. Leparra, there is also a training here about the source requirements for biomedical topics. Thanks, Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:54, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will make my corrections asap.
