AfD notice

[edit]

Hello, and thank you for your valuable contributions to Wikipedia! I am contacting you here to notify you that an article you created, Undernet Philosophy Channel, has been listed for possible deletion because it does not seem to meet Wikipedia's minimum notability requirements for articles (and specifically for web-based ones). A discussion will take place on the issue at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Undernet Philosophy Channel, and, if evidence can be provided that the topic is noteworthy enough for its own article (such as reliable references), it will be kept.

Sorry for any inconvenience, and we hope that you will not be discouraged if the article ends up deleted, as Wikipedia must maintain fairly high inclusion standards in order to avoid being swamped with trivia. Have a nice day! -Silence 01:34, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

(Cross posted from there)

Its generally beyond the scope of this article if you ask me, generally the most common type of touch screen is the resistive, coming second is usage is capacitive, In consumer devices such as PDA's and Laptops/Tablet-pc etc. A 'easy' way to determine the difference between the two is that a resistive touchscreen can use an inert plastic stylus or even any sort of relatively pointed object(pen, fingernails), while a capacitive touch screen requires a finger (or some other conductive object) and wont work with non-conductive pointed objects. --58.110.132.123 (talk) 20:51, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Research More

Before you post stupid theories on RE5's talk page, do 3.1 seconds worth of research into the story as we know it. 70.131.211.219 (talk) 13:24, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

TV show aspect ratios

[edit]

I noticed that you wrote the part about broadcast format for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, which seems a bit confusing to me. It says "The show is shot in 16:9 aspect ratio with a 4:3 center-cut for standard definition television sets." But the aspect ratio is not something that strictly depends on the resolution of the tv set is it ? I take it that it's supposed to read that SDTV broadcasts may be using a 4:3 center-cut. (Although this isn't the case for the Tonight Show, at least not where I live). Bigmouth strikes (talk) 14:46, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reinstating the Updates for Kitchen Nightmares

[edit]

Hi, I am in the midst of gathering everyone to give their comments on reinstating the updates for Kitchen Nightmares. I would appreciate if you come and give your comments on whether to keep or remove the updates here: Talk:Kitchen_Nightmares#Reinstating_the_Updates Roman888 (talk) 07:07, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia should be more vigilant towards people who try to take control of an article. Repeated reversions back to their own style of article isn't what Wikipedia is all about.Landroo (talk) 14:04, 19 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Hoadley, Alberta, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page George Hoadley (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Polite Reply: Well, for a start, you can begin to earn back my trust by knocking off the practice of routinely disallowing my highly plausible, and well-supported comments, but just fall shot of scientifically-verifiable raw data. They are no more valid that my unfalsifiable, but well supported opinions.

Consider this my "most polite refusal of your request at this time." Please acknowledge this constructive criticism in some way, or provide a plausible explanation. Yours Truly, Landroo.

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you have been adding your signature to some of your edits to articles, such as the edit you made to Penhold. This is a common mistake to make and has probably already been corrected. Please do not sign your edits to article content, as the article's edit history serves the function of attributing contributions, so you only need to use your signature to make discussions more readable, such as on talk pages or project pages such as the Teahouse. If you would like further information about distinguishing types of pages, please see What is an article? Again, thank you for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 10:13, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
