Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Koblentz! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk Pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Acetic Acid 05:37, August 24, 2005 (UTC)

You're welcome. As for clean-up, you're in luck. We have a very large clean-up taskforce, dividing up into sections based on specific jobs. It sounds like you want to do housekeeping work. You can sign up here. A list of articles that need to be fixed up are listed here. They are arranged by the day they were nominated to be cleaned. Last, but not least, there is a guide to cleaning here. Happy editing. :) Acetic Acid 09:30, August 26, 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I have just added a task to your desk. Andreww 07:22, 5 September 2005 (UTC) Hi, I have an additional task to your desk. Andreww 05:39, 24 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Ricochet.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Ricochet.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:11, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
