Nomination

[edit]

I saw on your user page you wanted to become an admin. I've looked over some of the pages you've edited and I think you do a very good job. Let me know about this request.ForestH2

As I have said on User talk:King of Hearts#RfA nomination, I think I will be ready in May. -- King of 23:18, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Mid May?User:ForestH2
I guess so. -- King of 00:14, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The idiot who made the page is removing your quality standards and deletion infoboxes. Please check out the situation and I'll let you make the assessment on how to deal with him and the page because its your information and its completely neccessary and correct but whatever you choose, I'll back you 100%. - Patman2648 04:51, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the revert on the Squamish, British Columbia article. 207.81.122.3 (talkcontribs) (with various socks) has been reverting the page once or twice per day for months now. He occasionally posts on the talk page (sometimes coherently, sometimes personal attacks), but mostly just reverts. He has recieved many warnings, so many I have given up adding more. It is one of those annoyances of Wikipedia--to low intensity for drastic action, but frequent enough to be frustrating. If you'd like to keep the page on your watchlist, I'm sure all of us who do likewise would appreciate it. You can see a list (as complete as I know) of his socks on his most recent 3RR listing, WP:AN/3RR#User:207.81.122.3. Cheers, --TeaDrinker 04:11, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Just to confirm here but I expect you are still with it (it's the middle of May) Nomination Time? ForestH2

You could write up my nomination anytime, but don't expect it to be on WP:RFA for a while; I like to take my time to answer such questions and get prepared. -- King of 03:25, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Is it O.K if I ask some other user to nominate you? I'd do it but are there any users that are in touch with you a lot? ForestH2
It's fine either way. -- King of 03:29, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
O.K, but are there any users who are in touch with you a lot? For example, the subjects that you enjoy editing, is there a certain user who's back on that page who could tell me a lot about you? ForestH2
There aren't so many users who really know a lot about me; I could supply the necessary info in my answers to the questions. -- King of 03:34, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm logging off after this message...however I know you will supply enough info in the questions. What do I put in the section above where it asks the person who is nominating? I have followed a lot of your edits.
Well, I participate in multiple areas; take a look at my todo list to get an idea of what I do around here. If my nomination suceeded, I would close "delete" AFD's, fight vandalism using a server-based rollback, block persistent vandals, etc. -- King of 03:48, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
So far from looking at that and your contrib...you cite sources, or refrences on the April Fools, Day Article, Also with pages that are nominated for deletion I see your praticipate in wether you want to keep or delete. I would guess you revert vandalisim as every user does who knows how to run Wikipedia? One thing I do want to know and I couldn't tell from is do you welcome users? Responding to your message about it wouldn't be up on the page for days, I think once I've created the page the time starts counting down. (Or at least it did when I did it with Foxearth) ForestH2
Yes, I sometimes welcome users. I typically put {{welcome}} on the pages of newcomers, {{anon}} on good-faith anonymous contributors, and {{anon-vf}} on anons who help fight vandalism. Also, there's obviously a template, so I can prepare my questions beforehand. -- King of 22:41, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I plan to do this 11 May 2006. Let me know what you think. ForestH2
Sounds fine to me. Logging off... -- King of 00:23, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to be starting the RFA in about an hour. Just to let you know. ForestH2
Doing it now. ForestH2

Your RFA has started

[edit]

ForestH2 has nominated you for adminship. In order to get your RFA to Requests for Adminship you must accept the nomination and answer the questions. Users who in the first place accepted the request but then denied it should post to the user's talk page who was nominating them. Then you must get supports to become an admin. King of Hearts; Requests for Adminship ForestH2

See my user page ForestH2 or my talk page. I'm going away until May 15th, although I will make some small edits and sign in on occassion on Wikipedia during this time. This is my last edit until most likely 13 May 2006. Just wanted to let you know. ForestH2

Quick note....You didn't accept the nomination. Please look at it again. Under what I wrote please add I accept or something like that. Go to go. ForestH2

Deleting it off the Requests page until you sign it properly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ForestH2 (talkcontribs)

I've accepted now. -- King of 21:56, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RFA looking good

[edit]

To stop in, a momment, 60 supports and 1 oppose. Your doing great. ForestH2

Doing great. 74 supports and only 1 oppose or something like that. It looks like tonight is your night to become an admin. ForestH2

Cool. About 20 more hours or so left. -- King of 01:14, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations

[edit]

You're now an admin. Use the tools wisely to help the community out. I'd recommend being conservative in using the tools, especially at first, and re-reading the policies before acting. Post anything potentially controversial at the administrators noticeborad. The community has shown substantial trust in you, keep up the good work. - Taxman Talk 21:51, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea who you are but CONGRATS! *dances around and throws confetti in the air* -- 127.*.*.1 21:55, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You may wish to add the Adminnistrator's Noticeboard to your watchlist.....ForestH2

Congraturations.

[edit]

Conguraturations for becoming administrator of Wikipedia. Ahh, May I ask you something? When I reverted the blanked article into last revision, How can I put their ID number? Because When I put their ID number to revert into last revision, it shows that red spelling. So, How can I make blue spelling? Could you explain to me? That's very important. Again, Congraturations for becoming Admin. Cheers!!. Daniel5127, 00:44, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to offer you my congrats on your recent success. Good luck for the future! --Siva1979Talk to me 02:41, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your removal of speedy delete request on Leslie Arzt

[edit]

Hello, I'd like you to reexamine your decision that the repost wasn't the same and that therefore speedy delete would not be justified. Other than slight wording nuances (stemming from rewrites of the article on the Characters of Lost page in the prior weeks), and the addition of one half phrase alluding to the meaning of the character's name, the two postings are basically identical. Here's the bulk of the two articles:

Leslie Arzt, who asks the survivors to address him as "Doctor", was a ninth grade science teacher. He warns the raft crew that the coming monsoon season will take the raft straight to Antarctica. Arzt accompanies the team going to the Black Rock to assist in the retrieval of the dynamite. When Jack, Kate, and Locke bring it outside, a panicked Arzt explains to them that, at the current temperature, dynamite sweats nitroglycerin, the most reactive substance known to man. After Arzt wraps a stick of dynamite in Kate's shirt, the dynamite explodes in his hands, killing him.
Leslie Arzt, who asks the survivors to address him as "Doctor" ('Arzt' is the German word for "doctor"), was a ninth grade science teacher. He warns the raft crew that the coming monsoon season will take the raft straight to Antarctica. Arzt accompanies the team going to the Black Rock to assist in the retrieval of dynamite to blast open the hatch.

This is very clearly a repost and deserves speedy deletion. Would you please reconsider your take on this? Thanks, -- PKtm 15:35, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the AFD closed as "merge", so it should be "speedy merged". -- King of 22:33, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Help

[edit]

Hi, for first...i advice you 2 visit my own page.

Then, i've already a prophile on Italian Wiki, and there i can leave my sign after a message. But in en.wiki there are other rules, so i don't know how to put a signature... can you make this work for me? The font i'd want is:
NEUROCHROME
In
BLUE
color.

THANK YOU A LOT....

El Tarantiniese - (Say 'ello to my lil' frien')

This is what I can do: El Tarantiniese - (Say 'ello to my lil' frien') (making it blue). Unfortunately, the font "Neurochrome" doesn't seem to be available (see Font family (HTML)). -- King of 22:36, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Sorry...

[edit]

I created that tml4ever article I was only kidding around I didn't know it was against the rules, won't happen again :)

I left a message on the Lucas Prata page, I hope you reconsider deleting the page. I see much room left for oppertunity with this article. --BrenDJ 01:41, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I concure that only one edit has taken place in 24 hours. however, if you look over the past month or so, I have been reverting the same edit over and over and over. So while it's low-key, it would definitly discourage the person from doing it. Thanks for the reply and consideration.Rsm99833 00:44, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If they continue, I'll block 'em. -- King of 00:50, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

File:Atlanticpuffin4.jpg Hello King of Hearts. Thank you for your lucky last support and lovely comments at my request for adminship which ended at the overwhelming and flattering result of (160/1/0), and leaves me in a position of having to live up to a high standard of community expectation. You can see me in action and observe what then happened as a result. Naturally, if I make any procedural mistakes, feel free to point them out. I look forward to working with you in the future.
