Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Khandoor! I am Roadahead and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Your recent edit

[edit]

Hi Khandoor, your recent edit where you added "Deol" last name to Ranjit Singh's name has no citation. I'm curious where this information is published that his last name was deol. Could you please add citation to that edit, otherwise such theories (that he was "Deol") end up being called "fringe theories" under wikipedia policies and finally removed. Feel free to ask me any question you have about editing wikipedia. Happy editing! --RoadAhead =Discuss= 02:39, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is Khandoor well your information is wrong as well he belonged to a Sandhu and Deol family i am from his linege. If you wish to change it then it is up to you.
Hi, you wrongly put the above reply on my user-page instead of talkpage. User-home-pages are for the users own use only where they keep their personal stuff, the user-talkpages are used for communicating with other editors. I'm moving your comment here and replying on your talkpage to keep communication at one place. If you feel like leaving me a message, you can leave it at my talkpage here. Also, if you can put 4 tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments on talkpages, wikipedia will automatically sign your name. Now coming to the topic, I've no problem if Ranjeet Singh's last name is "Deol" or not. However, Wikipedia works on a set of rules and we all editors are required to follow those. For example, it may help to read WP:NOT and when to cite sources. Cheers! --RoadAhead =Discuss= 04:46, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Khandoor, I saw you had made an edition to Maharaja Ranjit Singh's page stating his name Deol rather than Sukerchakia. Let me notify you on that since the Maharaja being the Misldar of Sukerchakia Misl also is a Sukerchakia himself as the misls then would only choose that man a leader who most of all would be one them, inherently. Which also means that by being so, he himself also has Sukerchakia as his last name, not Deol. Also next time, before making any editions, write out the reasons briefly on the discussion page. (talk) 07 December 2008 (UTC)
Khandoor, please try to understand the wikipedia policies of WP:NOR and WP:CITE. Specifically, please read and understand the section "When adding material that is challenged or likely to be challenged". Continued pushing of pov like you are doing here will not take you far on wikipedia. Such behavior (neglecting policies and pushing unpublished/un-cited synthesis) continually is called " edit-war" on wikipedia which is not a good thing to do. One can earn an account block with such behavior and also harm ones own credibility. Hence, if you want to become a long time constructive editor of wikipedia, I suggest to drop this edit war of putting "deol" as last name of Ranjit Singh on the article if you do not have references to cite for this claim. If you do have reliable references, please add them to the claim. Happy editing! --RoadAhead =Discuss= 00:27, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Khandoor I am telling you don't make any other changes on Maharaja Ranjit Singh's page otherwise I'll have you blocked. You make changes without stating any proper reasons. I'll have you blocked. (talk) 08 December 2008 (UTC)

Hello i am from his lineage he was from the Sandhu and Deol clan if you want more information i have everything or you are welcome to visit Pakistan Punjab. Dont change the Deol name again because i come from his blood line. I hail from the Gurjalwana in pakistan punjab.

You still don't understand buddy! Wikipedia is not a platform for "original research". To maintain that claim of yours, you will have to cite references from well known sources. You are not being asked this because me or someone else do not like the information you are adding, but simply because the information added needs to be verifiable. It will actually be great if you have well referenced sources on details of his family lineage, but again - please add high quality sources to claims when adding material that is challenged or likely to be challenged. I'm giving you friendly suggestions because I feel that you are making these repetitive unsourced edits in good faith unware of the functioning of wikipedia. Administors of wikipedia may not give you so many chances and can block you for edits. Please spend some time on reading the wikpedia policies to understand why your edits are becoming disruptive. Once again, feel free to leave me a note on my talkpage if you still don't understand whats wrong with your edits that we are talking about here. --RoadAhead =Discuss= 17:41, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Ranjit Singh, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. utcursch | talk 03:07, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sigh! I don't think the editor is even willing to get any help. I had proposed help in understanding why the edits are not appropriate.--RoadAhead =Discuss= 04:46, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Sikhism in Canada. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. JNW (talk) 00:43, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for engaging in an edit war. Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. Blueboy96 23:23, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Punjab (India), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.

Please do not continue to change data unless you can support these alterations with verifiable sources. Otherwise it looks like a personal agenda is being pursued to skew information re: religious backgrounds and populations, and can lead to further blocks. Thanks, JNW (talk) 16:16, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. JNW (talk) 20:39, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did to Haryana, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. JNW (talk) 00:55, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, there seems to be little administrative interest in your edits one way or the other; there appears to be no reason for you to discontinue adding invented statistics and original research. JNW (talk) 15:30, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our policies concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated.Canterbury Tail talk 22:45, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the only warning you will receive. Your recent vandalism will not be tolerated. Although vandalizing articles on occasions that are days or weeks apart from each other sometimes prevents editors from being blocked, your continued vandalism constitutes a long term pattern of abuse. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. 99.184.128.247 (talk) 01:54, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
