Online ambassador

[edit]

Hello Katie, I am an online ambassador for your class. This means I will help you out with work and life in Wikipedia. You can contact me on my talk page or through email Special:EmailUser/Graeme Bartlett. for your proposed article, there is a style for titles here that differs from journal article titles. I would suggest that you use Mycotoxins in animal feed. It would be a good idea to write one paragraph for Mycotoxin as well to improve that article. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mycotoxins in animal feed requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. →Στc. 23:08, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Userspace drafts

[edit]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia. The article that you posted was empty. Because we don't like to have blank articles in the encyclopedia, one of the criteria for speedy deletion is WP:CSD#A3 "no content." It is now more than six hours since you posted this, so I have deleted it.

There is no need to input a blank article as a "placeholder", and it doesn't look good if a reader comes upon it. A better way, if you want to take time about creating an article, is to start with a draft in a user sub-page. See Help:Userspace draft for how to do that. Then you can move the article into the main encyclopedia only when it is ready, avoiding the risk of premature deletion. JohnCD (talk) 23:15, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

While I'm here, I'd like to raise another matter. We have recently had a great deal of trouble with copyright violations from student projects and it is clear that in some cases (I'm not saying this is true for your project) they have not been properly briefed on this issue. Please read Wikipedia:Copy-paste, which explains things clearly and, if you have not already been pointed to this page, ask your instructor to read it and to explain it to the rest of the class. My apologies if you have already been briefed on this, but I would rather be safe than sorry. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 23:15, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
