Serious warning

[edit]

If you wish to write an article about Assam University, please do so in your own words. You have posted the same copyrighted text four times now! Copyrighted text is not allowed to be posted to Wikipedia and will be deleted. If you repeatedly post this same text again and again after this warning, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Kimchi.sg 12:44, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the "speedy delete" tag from the article as I believe the words in the article are your own and not lifted from the University's website. However, it will need to be wikified, and I have placed the "wikify request" tag on it. Don't remove the tag unless you have followed the instructions in the tag to make changes to the article's formatting. Kimchi.sg 13:53, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Doctor Hari Singh Gour University.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kimchi.sg 12:44, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove maintenance notices from pages unless the required changes have been made. If you are uncertain whether the page requires further work, or if you disagree with the notice, please discuss these issues on the page's talk page before removing the notice from the page. These notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of a page. Thank you.

AfD Nomination University of Sagar

[edit]

I've nominated the article University of Sagar for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that University of Sagar satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/University of Sagar. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of University of Sagar during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. Kimchi.sg 12:51, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Kimchi.sg 12:57, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Kimchi.sg 13:00, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles as it is considered vandalism. You may place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page if you oppose an article's speedy deletion. Thanks. Kimchi.sg 13:02, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

You have been told several times already not add copyrighted material, either from web pages or printed material, to Wikipedia. I've had to submit Gauhati University for deletion for this reason. It is very important, in the future, that you only contribute material that you have written yourself to Wikipedia. If you do not abide by this rule, you will be blocked from editing wikipedia. Thank you for your cooperation. ×Meegs 05:01, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly, the text you used to create Dr. Harisingh Gour seems to come from [2]. I am glad that you are interested in creating articles about these universities, but you must do so only with your own words. Regards. ×Meegs 05:17, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Sagar University Mono.gif listed for deletion

[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Sagar University Mono.gif, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Orphaned fair use image (Image:Bulogo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bulogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Replaceable fair use Image:Pinkfloyd.jpg

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Pinkfloyd.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia Talk 00:52, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Sagar University.gif)

[edit]

You've uploaded File:Sagar University.gif, and indicated that it's used under Wikipedia's rules for non-free images. However, it's not presently used in any articles. Wikipedia policy requires that non-free images be either used or deleted, so if this image isn't used in an article in the next week, it will be deleted.
