How can I make the names automatically sorted by the values in column C, and two or more names having equal values as in the case of ABC and GHI sorted according to values in column D (with sortable table class, the user has to click on the arrows near the table headers to sort the values, thisis not done automatically, and if two or more values in column C are equal you cannot choose another column to sort the equal values)

You can't make a table automatically sort. The initial display will always be in the order as in the wikitext. You can change the order in the wikitext so the initial order is what you want it to be, like this:

I was assuming you want to sort columns C and D in descending order. If you meant ascending order, simply reverse the rows.
There is a way for a user to sort by two columns. Click the arrow in the column you want sorted first, then hold Shift and click the arrow in the column you want sorted second.

How do I vertically-align tables in a nested table? For example:

Note that specifying valign="bottom" or style="vertical-align:bottom" as a parameter in the outer table does not vertically align the inner tables to the bottom of the outer table.

Also how do I set the height of a table row to be equal to that of two rows of undefined height, without having to define the height of that row in pixels, and without having to use rowspan? (something like style="height:2" or style="height:200%" does not work)

You need to individually style each containing row for the valign like so:

How can this table be sorted numerically according to the numbers only (ignoring the letters after that). The {{sort}} or {{hs}} templates do not work, even with them the sorting mode is still alphabetic.
You can use the {{number table sorting}} (or {{nts}} for short) template for that. Like so:

I've moved your request to Template talk:EP; when a talk page is redirected, it's usually best to make the request at the target talk page instead of posting under the redirect where it is unlikely to be seen. Going to add to this. In cases where it's an attack page, you can use the {{db-attack}} template. But tread carefully when you do this. For the purpose, review WP:CSD before you pull the speedy trigger. --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 06:41, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
When I saw the article it didn't look like an attack page, it was not entirely negative in tone. Also when I was trying to Google search it showed that there is a real person named "Spike Nicholson" so it is not a hoax either. Maybe it got deleted just because another article with a similar name, Spike Nicholson was tagged as an attack page.jfd34 (talk) 07:29, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
In these cases, it's best to refer to WP:ATTACK for guidelines on what constitutes an attack page around here. The general rule is this, that I've noticed: while there is a line, if the point of the article is only to disparage somebody, then nuke it from orbit. This was pretty much the case with this article. To note, I don't think you've done anything wrong - this just sounds a little like you weren't sure what our own baselines were, so you applied your own. Foreign articles

At WP:PNT/T there is a useful set of templates to give new users who input articles in foreign languages. Many of them are bilingual, like {{contrib-pl1}}, which is useful where the newbie may not understand English at all. That wasn't actually an A2, because it wasn't a copy of pl:Historia Ziemi, but A10 was good enough. One other point - where you are giving a message to a newbie who has not had any messages before, it is always worth starting with {{welcome}} or one of the other welcome templates, which give some useful links to help them learn about WP. Hi Jfd34. I do not have an answer for you but I am closing this request for help, as it is obviously not eliciting an answer, although open for two days. This is not surprising as getting help on a request like this one is limited to a relatively small number of users who monitor the category and so a request requiring highly specialized knowledge, such as yours, is better posted to a targeted forum, or for crowd sourcing, somewhere general but looked at by a much higher number of people. For the first, you might try the village pump technical and for the latter, I'd try the help desk. I'd do the help desk first because it's for questions just like yours, even if it doesn't draw the same concentration of coding gurus as the pump.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 01:53, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hey man, your changes to Template:Limited overs matches has resulted in the formatting of the template fucking up when the "result" parameter is left blank. Here is an example I've copied over from West Indian cricket team in England in 2012:

Fixed. Used the #if: function for result rather than a normal optional parameter, and used HTML markup for the bolding of the result.

Cricket graphs

Hi, I saw your interest in WP:CRIC/GR. I created this page and it did well, since the sudden departure of EdChem, it is currently defunct. I am working on the ODI graphs of AB de Villiers. Because I do them with Inkscape (not with MS Excel) it would take a long time as I have to manually caluclate the coordinates based on the data, with Windows Calculator. It would be usually about 2-3 days per graph, but it could be more for cricketers who have played a lot of innings. jfd34 (talk) 17:26, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Because Excel does not support SVG, which is the recommended file format for non-photographic images such as graphs and diagrams. See the image on the right to see how SVG is better than JPEG or PNG and you can see the article on SVG for some more advantages.
However, we do need resolutions in cricket graphs, given that it has enough resolution ans since png supports transparency, we can do it with Excel, like EdChem did. extra999 (talk) 04:11, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have not created the article, but it may be a problem with Twinkle because I had moved it to Prof. P. N. Okeke contibution to space science and Technology in Nigeria. See the history of that page to find out who the author is. Also it is the redirect that was tagged, not the actual page.

It is not blatant copying. I had seen that the first paragraph of the article had been slightly modified and the last paragraph of the source page had not been included in the article.

When I was nominating the article for deletion, an administrator speedily deleted the article and when the page was saved the article got accidentially recreated without an edit conflict message. You corrected someones change where they renamed E&F to 1&2. But you quoted the link http://www.espncricinfo.com/world-twenty20-2010/engine/series/412671.html?view=pointstable which was the 2010 edition. Its not a huge deal, but I would argue against this. It is extremely unlikely that two bots would have the same username, just different cases. What is far more likely is that a user may add {{bots}} to a page, and not get the exact case of the bot's username correct. It makes much more sense to be case-insenstive, simply because there will never be a case where such a conflict would arise. --Chris 17:07, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There is no need to discuss anything. WP:CRIC#STYLE already says,"When listing the national team of players, if they are from a country in the West Indies, West Indies (rather than e.g., Guyana) should be used." One thning I forgot to mention: for the partnership records including the players' final scores or contributions is not possible due to technical limitations.
