wiki wars

[edit]

how do i start a wiki war and when i do how do i fight please help?

Excellent question. To declare a WikiWar, just use the WikiWar Template. As far as how to fight a WikiWar, there is little precedent. Just to clarify, a wikiwar is meant only as a joke, poking a bit of fun at the bureaucratic nature of the dispute resolution process. Jdrrmk (talk)

Hello,

I do not think that we should encourage user to partake in Kraken-like activity. That would be like letting users identify themselves as Trolls. I have changed your template at Template:User_WikiKraken to say "Reformed", please review it. -- GateKeeperX (talk)

Hi! While I agree users clearly should not be WikiKrakens, I do not feel this user box poses a threat. First of all, a WikiKraken specifically makes spoof edits that are difficult to tell from real edits, and admitting to being a WikiKraken would be sort of counterproductive towards that goal. Secondly, the WikiKraken page itself is a humorous page, kept only for its humorous nature. I feel it is fairly straightforward that the WikiKraken userbox falls under the same "only for humor" category. If you know a way to add a "for humor only" tag to the template page, that would perhaps be a better way of dealing with this, but as it stands I don't really see the problem with a bit of rather obvious humor.
