Your edits at Kalki

[edit]

Hey there, I just reverted your goodfaith edits due to citation being a copyright violation. Go to the citation you provided and see the first or second page of the book. See the box thing. It says you need the authors permission to reproduce and stuff..

Although the edits you made were not wrong (the content i mean), You need to provide well sourced quality citations and optionally from known authors. Let me know if you need any help, We could even work together on the Kalki article if you like. Cheers! ShotgunMavericks (talk) 11:07, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:Kedar Joshi.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kedar Joshi.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 10:45, 28 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kali (demon), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gandhari (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. [edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article W. Douglas P. Hill is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at Lakshmi.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not add content without citing reliable sources. You cannot cite wikipedia articles to support what you add, or blogs, or other questionable sources that may reflect vandalism / personal opinions. Repeated addition of OR is disruption and can attract administrative review of your editing privileges. Your cooperation is requested, Ms Sarah Welch (talk) 18:45, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am not in the least interested in making any disruptive edit. And are you suggesting that this source, which seems to mention Alakshmi as the elder sister of Lakshmi, is unreliable? Hinduresci (talk) 19:46, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
"But Vishnu never follows Lakshmi; she follows him, drawn by his ability to uphold order or dharma wherever he goes. And Alakshmi, always accompanies, Lakshmi, for she is the elder sister. In images, Lakshmi is associated with both Vishnu and the owl. Art historians are of the opinion that since it is inauspicious to portray Alakshmi, artists have chosen to represent her as an owl." — Devdutt Pattanaik. Lakshmi’s Owl. Retrieved 13 October 2017. Hinduresci (talk) 19:51, 13 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the assurance. That is a non-RS source. Unless there is evidence that a website or any form of publication is peer-reviewed, it is best to not use it. We should have no difficulty in finding peer reviewed RS for anything that is not fringe and is mainstream. Pattanaik states that "Art historians...", which means you should be able to locate peer-reviewed publications of those art historians somewhere. If not, please avoid inserting such content. [edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Capitals00 (talk) 17:08, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It was hardly 4 days ago that you were warned by @Ms Sarah Welch: for disruption. Looking at your wikilawyering, bludgeoning on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kedar Joshi (3rd nomination) and promotion of his conspiracy theories on subjects like Kali (demon), I am finding it harder to believe if you are really WP:HERE. Capitals00 (talk) 17:18, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Capitals00, please try to understand the simple fact that since Kedar Joshi claims himself to be Kali (demon), he or anyone trying to promote him or something, would never put something like this into the introductory section of an article on him: "a world-destroying, lustful, miserable and fetid man who holds his penis in the left hand and who has a crow-like belly and a dreadful mouth with a restless tongue". — Hinduresci (talk) 17:25, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing! I created the article Kshipra Joshi. And as you know, I created the article Kedar Joshi too. Now, if you do some google image search with "Kali Durukti", you will come right across some pictures suggesting that those two might be related to each other in a queer manner. And if I had not been neutral (especially the way you seem to suggest), I would have added at least one of those links (from unreliable sources like Imgflip) to the article on Kshipra Joshi or the one on Kedar Joshi or Durukti or Kali (demon). But I didn't; because I am indeed here for Wikipedia, and not for any of those Joshis. — Hinduresci (talk) 18:49, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Take this image for example! And I really don't understand how you guys manage to overlook these facts! — Hinduresci (talk) 20:14, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Mahabharata John D Smith Cover.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Mahabharata John D Smith Cover.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:03, 16 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Kedar Joshi.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Uploaded for Kedar Joshi. No other use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 08:27, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
