Notice

The file File:Star Wars American Poster 1977.jpeg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Copyrighted image that is an improperly large version of a smaller version that properly follows image use policy, File:StarWarsMoviePoster1977.jpg.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~Cheers, TenTonParasol 04:09, 21 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Stop uploading copyrighted posters at high resolution into Wikipedia. Wikipedia cannot accept high resolution posters as they are copyrighted. We already have non-free acceptable use low resolution sized versions of them and that is all we're permitted to use. Canterbury Tail talk 20:40, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Competence block

[edit]

I've looked through your contributions and it's pretty clear you're not a good fit for Wikipedia. Every single mainspace edit you've made to the project over the last few months has been reverted. Every. Single. One. This clearly shows that you are severely lacking in competence to edit Wikipedia. You don't seem to show any inclination to learn our policies or processes, you add irrelevant information to infoboxes that is clearly against the instructions and documentation for the infoboxes, and you have now taken to uploading copyrighted images in high resolution to Wikipedia that you found on the internet. I hate to do it, but given your record you are not a benefit to the project right now. Maybe if you take some time off, understand why you were blocked and why all of your edits are reverted, read through our WP:POLICIES, WP:GUIDELINES and WP:MOS you can apply for an unblock. However until then you are just wasting people's time who have to clean up after you. I know it sounds rather harsh, but this is the truth of the matter for all to see. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abuse of editing privileges.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text at the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here I have now read the polocies, guidelines and MOS and now I want to be unblocked, I can find some really useful sources, I will never use high-res copyrighted images again and I will try to check my sources next time}}.

Decline reason:

We're going to need more than your word here. You will need to demonstrate your knowledge of relevant policies by describing what was wrong with your prior edits and what you will do differently. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 20:05, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Your reason here I understand why I was blocked, because I made unsourced edits, I used high-res copyrighted image, I edit warred with some other users, I know what I did on those other pages was vandalism on these pages, I give any irrelevant information to pages that didn't need it. I will avoid giving irrelevant information that doesn't really matter to the page, and I will avoid uploading high-res copyrighted images, I will try to follow Wikipedia's policies. I am informed about why I was block and I will never do it again. <div style="margin

Decline reason:

This is not convincing. Frankly, I don't see a path forward for you here until you can demonstrate, on another wiki, several months of constructive editing. Yamla (talk) 12:41, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
