Indonesian Army ranks moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Indonesian Army ranks, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Stop changing date formats

Steve Nash

[edit]

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Steve Nash, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. —ShelfSkewed Talk 07:22, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Indonesian Army ranks

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on INews (TV programme) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/INews_(TV_program). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. So if this happened, you need to delete Seputar iNews, Lintas iNews and Buletin iNews too. GlennMandagi1 (talk) 13:09, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@GlennMandagi1: Hi. Gonnym will likely only see your reply if you ping them, like this @Gonnym:. See WP:PING. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 14:20, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping. GlennMandagi1, As you can see at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/INews (TV program), the consensus was to delete this article. Your re-creation of the same content didn't change the fact that the subject of the article does not pass WP:GNG (nor did you add any sources that proved it was). If you feel like the others also don't pass GNG, then you can nominate them as well. --Gonnym (talk) 14:24, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please don't change the format of dates, as you did to Minecraft Dungeons. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.

For more information about how dates should be written on Wikipedia, please see this page.

If you have any questions about this, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Thank you. -- ferret (talk) 14:12, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion at Talk:Sarah Azhari

[edit]

I invite you to please join the discussion at Talk:Sarah Azhari.

Hello, we are seeking help with the Sarah Azhari article, created in 2013 & recently the subject of a deletion proposal. At issue was whether or not the Indonesian language sources establish notability. I am inviting you to the discussion at Talk:Sarah Azhari#Help with Indonesian language sources because you are in the Category:User id-N & have a minimum of 1,000 edits across all Wikimedia projects.

I realize that some of you are very busy while others may no longer be editing. Nevertheless, I thought it wise to consult with you.

Stop changing dates

[edit]

Seriously, stop changing dates from American to British format. Writing March 9, 2022 instead of 9 March 2022 is perfectly acceptable, and you need to stop converting articles to your preferred format, as others have already said numerous times. Not only is it a waste of time, but it's against WP:RETAIN and MOS:DATERET, and the amount of articles you are changing is incredibly disruptive.
