Liverpool task force

I've noticed you editing Liverpool FC related articles, you might like to join WP:LFC. John Hayestalk 16:04, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Userboxen

How would you like the page laid out? — OwenBlacker (Talk) 15:22, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
PS: Reply on my Talk: page or I won't notice ;o)

Editing your user page is prolly the easiest solution. You have shitloads of userboxen, though. D'you want two columns or something? Or just for me to chuck them all there, so you can handle the rest and get tables by example? — OwenBlacker (Talk) 15:28, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi. Just wanted to let you know that I had to decline the WP:CSD#A7 on this article, as films cannot be speedily deleted for notability concerns, I have written to ask User:Corvus cornix if he minds my bundling it into Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tajudeen bioku. If he does, or if that AfD picks up momentum before I'm able, I will very likely be nominating it independently. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:23, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

No problem. :) Just one of the many intricacies of speedy deletion! --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:30, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Francis grave, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Francis grave is a test page.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Francis grave, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. A7

Hi. :) Just wanted to further clarify WP:CSD#A7. I came upon Mengil Manhide's Manflayers, an article you tagged, this evening. I did delete the article, but only because it was a copyright violation of this url. A7 can be used to speedily delete articles about real people (individually or grouped, as in companies or bands) or web content if the articles do not assert importance. It can't be used on the products, such as films, albums or books. This particular article was not an A7 candidate as it refers to a fictional group of people. Ordinarily, these might be addressed through WP:PROD or WP:AfD, unless they meet one of the other criteria. In this case, the sudden introduction of a large chunk of text suggested to me a phrase check on google might be worthwhile. This is quite often an indicator that the material has been copied and pasted from another source. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 01:45, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

LOTSW and FOTSW production numbers

Hey I need some help and I'm not quite sure where to look for it. Since you seem to have quite a bit of information on the episodes, I was hoping you would know. As I'm reformatting the episode list for LOTSW, I'm trying to include production numbers for the episodes, mainly using TV.com as a source. However, they don't have production numbers listed for series 11 onwards, the pilot, or any FOTSW episodes. I was hoping maybe you would know where I could go to find this information to make the lists complete. Cheers! Redfarmer (talk) 17:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Speddy deletion of my article

I understand. I wanted to not even create the article but next think I knew it was an article. Later! Joker Prowess (talk) 18:35, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Something for your awards page. Feel free not to include it!--Shirt58 (talk) 14:07, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Mate, I was the one being stupid when I gave the section we're now in, a smarty-pants title. Boing, Zebedee arrived. Time for bed, said Zebedee... will elaborate later--Shirt58 (talk) 15:10, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks - I was just wondering what to do about that page :) Cheers --Herby talk thyme 14:45, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Liverpool the best team in Europe

On the subject of you reverting User:Jag0000021's edit on Liverpool F.C. saying that Liverpool are the best team in Europe, with you being unable to find a source, I have found this on the lfc.tv website. Thanks // Finns 20:35, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

You do have a very good point there, have it as a discussion for now I think until UEFA state it. // Finns 20:53, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up. I've deleted it again. It's the second time the author has blanked the page after starting it. Spellcast (talk) 10:29, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

favorised

It is a similar word in some other languages, but apparently not in English, true. Ingolfson (talk) 10:44, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Favouritised, anyone? Never leave it simple when it can be over-complicatered. ;-) Ingolfson (talk) 08:02, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Mordechai Suchard

I removed the speedy tag from Mordechai Suchard. Although it is a short article, it is possibly expandable. If not, it at the very least asserted that it was notable, which is all it has to do to not be speedy deleted. It needs sourcing and expansion of course, and I wouldn't have a problem with adding it to AFD to get a community based consensus. Let me know if you need help setting up an AFD, or see this link. Cheers, thanks for your contributions, Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 20:28, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

I thank you, GED UK, for your timely alert on my talk page. I intend to defend against a move for speedy deletion. The article will be expanded from its current stub as soon as more information is available relating to his biography, his vision for the organization that he founded and its goals and purposes. Thank you. DRosenbach (Talk | Contribs) 20:36, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Last Temptation of Krust

on bill hicks wikipedia page: "Though he generally disliked television, he is said to have been a huge fan of The Simpsons and Krusty The Klown's persona as a counter-cultural stand-up comedian in the ninth season episode "Last Temptation of Krust" is a tribute to him"

you had taken this infomation off the Last tempation of krust page, but as i have found an article backing this point up im citing it and reverting it back. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.44.151.87 (talk) 16:11, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

STOP IT!!!!

You really need to stop telling people that you've nominated their page(s) for deletion! It's irritating! I was going to put in reference! Just wait a couple weeks or else I'll report you! I'm freaking sick of this!!! Always "delete this" or "delete that." Knock it off or else. - Kanjimaster (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 19:50, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

REPLY TO YOUR REPLY TO STOP IT!!!!

I wasn't threatening you. By "or else," I meant or else I'd report you. Smart one. Sorry. Boy that cake was good. Sorry yet again. Anyway, FYI I wasn't threatening. - Kanjimaster (talk) 20:06, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

CSD A7

Just a heads up, CSD A7 doesn't apply to software. BJTalk 14:32, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the help on the Lee Myung-bak's castle redirect page. Much appreciated, and happy editing, Leonard^Bloom (talk) 17:15, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Tyreke Evans

Regarding this diff: the first source cited in the article (the New York Times) said, "Now, at 18, Evans is a 6-foot-6 guard considered by many to be the top high-school senior in the country." Nevertheless, I have added an extra footnote to the lead for the sake of clarity. Zagalejo^^^ 20:11, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion of TEAM International IT Outsourcing Article

Hello I hope you would be more helpful in explaining the real reason of my article being deleted. I did make the necessary changes. Why article on other small companies do not get deleted? Aren't they promoting themselves here? My article is no promotion - it is a pure explanation of what TEAM international is and what it does. Feel free to leave you comments on my talk page

Teamint (talk) 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank you very much You are the only person who actually answered my questions Thanks As for the notability let me work on that As for the links - oops I am afraid you made a mistake saying that ALL the external links are the links to the website. Really out of 14 links only 4 link to the web page. Let me just work on the changes some more. Teamint (talk) 10:17, 27 June 2008 (UTC)Teamint

Re: Blood Pressure

Ok, thanks for caring and asking for protection! Anyway I noticed it's alweays the same guy, apparently from Malaysia (or at least that's what the APNIC whois says), who continues undoing the page... I hope the protection will make him desist. Asendoh (talk) 19:28, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Re: 2008 MotoGP page protection request

OK. No harm caused. ;) D.M.N. (talk) 19:18, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

I have took the matter about the 2008 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season page to ANI. Please comment there. Regards, D.M.N. (talk) 08:22, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Christopher Hughes

Isn't the point of Wikipedia meant to be putting information on the pages rather than taking it off. Looking back over the pages I can see that Christopher Hughes' page has been vandalised occasionally and there is some of unsourced information on it but I know that the vast majority of what was written is true (including some of the more far fetched entries!) having both worked for the BBC and religiously watched Eggheads and his appearances on Mastermind and The Weakest Link.

It seems ludicrous that one over officious, censorious individual R Ferreira can just decide to make Hughes' page virtually empty and useless to fans trying to find a bit more about the man by claiming that he knows better than everyone else. Not only has he ruled out all unsourced information but deigned to judge that a Mastermind fanpage (which IS accurate to the best of my knowledge) is not allowed to be sourced on his say so. Do I have to link to ten youtube clips of Hughes losing at sport on Eggheads to be allowed to say that it is one of his weaker topics or find 15 clips of him giving more information than is necessary to prove that he does this? It seems rather unnecessary when anyone who watches the show (probably unlike RFerreira) knows this to be the case and could challenge it if they felt it wasn't accurate!

Hughes is a minor television personality at best so there is little chance of him showing up on major websites! What is the point of including minor celebrities at all on wikipedia if absolutely everything not only has to be sourced but sourced from websites approved by RFerreira? Isn't the whole point of having user editing, that users take down entries they know to be inaccurate and sourcing things whilst being important is only crucial in a dispute?

Can you get assist in the Christopher Hughes page back to it's former glories? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.9.23.123 (talk) 17:38, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Earthsea

I will be making updates to various Earthsea pages after a trip to my local library for reference materials. I have already update the three character pages. Feel free to give me feedback - anything positive, negative or neutral is appreciated. Npd2983 (talk) 00:48, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Gareth Barry

I can source it. It's this address:

  • RTE (Irish Television and Radio Channels) :
  • Telegraph (British Newspaper):

I do not know how to put the source into the article but I'm sure you do, and if you look at one or both of these adresses you'll see I wasn't making it up. --86.41.93.68 (talk) 12:40, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
