[edit]
Your message:
Do you play either of these? I'm going to rewrite GunBound and I thought you might want to help me. I also plan to rewrite Rakion.

I play Rakion, but not Gunbound. I would have liked to help with the Rakion article, but I'm currently on an unofficial break, so I probably wouldn't be that helpful. =P Kalani [talk] 06:03, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Errrm... about 14 years now :) How are you feeling? You seemed depressed on Spring's talkpage... riana_dzasta 15:20, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's pretty cool! I stopped learning formally about 5 years ago, though (same age you are now... ). I still play everyday, largely becoming self-taught... currently learning Debussy's Claire de Lune, which is insanely hard. Probably get there in a few months :) By the way, I don't want to sound patronising, but 13 is a damn crazy age to be at. I remember, it was shite. Trust me when I say... these things pass. Hi Fredil, thanks for your kind words, I appreciate them a lot. As for your question, I'm not in the right frame of mind right now to give you the answers you deserve. I'm sorry for letting you down. --Kyoko 16:53, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hey Fredil, how is your contemplation of life going? Your update on the stress alerts page didn't sound encouraging, so I wanted to make sure all was okay. Hope things improve soon. -- Natalya 17:04, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your support...
Thank you ever so much, Fredil Yupigo, for your kind words and understanding in my time of need. I deeply appreciate your support, and I hope to be there for you, should you ever need help. — Kyoko

Hello Fredil, and thanks for your message. You wrote that "Rarely do people even have a fraction of your strength". I appreciate the sentiment, but I don't think of myself as being strong at all. I could say more, but I don't want to depress you. As a side note, you're not foresaken, but I'm not in the shape to give you advice right now. I'm sorry. I am recovering, slowly, but depression is something I've had for many years, even though most of the time I tried to deny that I needed help. It will just take time to work things through. Thanks again. --Kyoko 00:29, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: E@L

[edit]

It was a big step for her to come online here. But, as I said on her talkpage, I'd rather not discuss this here. Just a matter of courtesy to her - I don't want to trivialise her problems by talking about them like this. You don't mind, right? riana_dzasta 14:36, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

*phew* :) Hope you're feeling less stressed? riana_dzasta 14:39, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you so much for your support!

I can't say thank you enough for the support that you have shown me over the past few days. It means the world to me, and has certainly helped me along the road to recovery! I will cherish forever the kind messages and "gifts" that were sent to me and think of them whenever times are rough.

I didn't realise that my absence would cause so much concern, and I apologise if I caused anyone undue stress. I feel that I owe you an explanation, at least! for what happened, to return in some small way the kindness you showed to me. I will post it here as soon as possible, if you would like to know the reason for my brief departure and the links on my userpage.

Thank you so much for your kind words and your advice, Fredil. I appreciate it even more knowing that you are going through rough times yourself: it's harder than people realise to put yourself last and unselfishly care for others. I would like to return the favour and let you know that, friend to friend, I am here if you would like to talk. My depression started when I was eleven, so I understand where you're coming from! I'm also closer to your age than you might think.

I commend you for your admirable maturity, in dealing with my situation as well as your own. I hope you work through this so we can all pull through together; I know it seems impossible at times, but every now and then I catch a glimpse of hope and things brighten just a touch. I hope you don't hesitate to e-mail me if you want someone to talk to!

Your question

[edit]

How does the sun keep going? A: The sun does not run out because of gravity and the forces within the sun. In the sun's core, nuclear fusion is occuring, producing atoms. The atoms travel outward at an agonizingly slow pace. It's gravity and the outward pushing of atoms that keeps our sun stable, and nuclear fusion is how the sun "keeps going". If you don't understand, visit my user page, and you'll see that I'm an amateur astronomer. Oh and by the way, you put that question on the discussion page of my Southern Hemisphere survey page. about what you wrote

[edit]

Hi Fredil, I just read your message, and I wanted to say there are many things I've done that I'm not proud of, and that this is probably true with most people to a lesser or greater degree. Not to get into details, but I really put my parents through hell when I was a few years older than you. I wish that I could elevate your mood, but I'm not sure how. --Kyoko 02:40, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My earlier comment about my parents was an understatement. I'll just say this: at the time, I didn't understand my parents at all, and I felt that they didn't understand me. Now we understand each other much better, so perhaps my experience will give you some hope. I'm glad that I was at least a little able to help. Thanks for the flowers. --Kyoko 02:54, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

how I archive messages

[edit]

Hi Fredil, I hope you are feeling better. I archive my talk page messages manually by cutting and pasting, and they are organised chronologically, roughly divided by conversation threads. In my latest archive, I wanted to keep messages prior to November 5, because E@L had left a series of messages under one header, starting on that date. I should fix the title of my latest archive so that it says "- November 4, 2006". I hope this helps. --Kyoko 00:15, 17 No== Fredil, what's wrong? ==

Agreeing with the others who have posted

[edit]

I agree with the people who have posted above. I don't know what the subject of your disagreement with your parents is, but younger people disagreeing with their parents is part of life (older people disagree with their parents sometimes too :). That doesn't mean that they don't like you, and even less does it mean that nobody does. Your occasional disagreements with people on Wikipedia aren't the end of the world; we're a community of strong-minded people, and sometimes there will be disagreements. So I know it's easy for me to say this, but try to feel better about things. Regards, Newyorkbrad 17:39, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

purple colour

[edit]

Hi Fredil, the name of the colour, according to Web colors, is thistle, hex code D8BFD8, and if you've read my user page, you know why I chose the colour. I've redone my user and talk pages to more prominently use that shade of purple without compromising legibility. I hope you like the results. --Kyoko 01:00, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Am I really?

[edit]

No, absolutely not. You're in a rough spot right now, Fredil, it takes time to go back to your normal self. Everybody deals with it differently – if you’re having a hard time keeping your head and you don’t like the results, perhaps un-watch stressful pages (certain MfD’s) and just focus on the encyclopedia for a while. I’ve forced myself to do this to some extent, and have found it helps.

Just remember that you have friends here, and we will support you through tough times. Keep your chin up and make the best of your fresh start, Fredil: I’m here to help :-) — Editor at Large(speak) 04:03, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Like I said, I feel people should have waited, but they didn't. Furthermore, I gave Cyde a barnstar for mostly his efforts in Hangman and in the stupid Wikicouch affair, and in the Esperanza Games. I don't particularly appreciate the insinuation that I'm a hypocrite and if you have time to look up barnstars you should have found my statements where I suggested holding off on further MfD's. The fact that you didn't suggests you are being pointy. Please -- you're 13 , you're already upset, and you are not thinking clearly. Drop this, now. --ElaragirlTalk|Count 03:15, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

*shrugs* It's okay. I'm not suprised you're getting email, I got a pile of screed myself too. But I tend to research it before I tear someone's head off their shoulder. A lot of people are VERY upset with me since in their minds I "led the charge" against Esperanza, and perhaps they have a right to be upset since I am a royal pain in the ass. But I didn't do it for kicks, and I *do* hope Esperanza can reform itself and do what it's supposed to do again. Something interesting: Wikibooks said they NEEDED Esperanza on their site. Maybe there's something you can do to help out there too. --ElaragirlTalk|Count 03:32, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Fredil - wow, thanks, I'm totally lost for words. Thanks so much! Whoa, there, my friend. We? are not perfect. I know for SURE that I am not perfect! I get the whole rant about everything I do wrong from my dad, too, and it definitely stresses me out. I think I understand how you feel.

Just know that those problems are their problems with you, not fundamental flaws within yourself. We all have problems with everybody. Nobody is perfect, or can ever hope to be; all you can do is try your best and if that isn't enough for some people, don't get discouraged. You will never be loved by everybody, Fredil, despite how very much I and others would like to change that. That is not your fault.

File:Love message by n yfe.jpg

Please remember that people do like you here, and that you matter to us. You absolutely matter. Every single edit and every single message you leave people matters. Do you know how many times you've brightened up my day when I've logged on and found the orange bar leading me to a lovely message from you? Many! Each of those messages and each of those days mattered a great deal to me, and still matter when I read the messages again or remember how I felt when I read them the first time.

I care about you, Fredil. I like you. I think you're a great person. And I know, for a fact, that there are many people here who would agree with me! — Editor at Large(speak) 00:40, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Imperfect? Nobody's perfect! You are a really great person, and just because someone thinks you are one thing doesn't mean you are at all. We all care for you, and hope you realize that you are wrong about this. —The Great Llamamoo? 21:25, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Fredil! I hope you don't feel too bad, because I'm sure we've all felt that way before. It stinks getting shouted at, but you have to let go of it; you can't keep feeling the same way as you do now. It's not good for your health to feel sorry for yourself, mentally or physically. Perhaps you should think of all the nice things you've done, of all the nice moments you've had. I myself have called my-self stupid, and recieved a similar response from others. A long time ago, I forgot to do something important, and this triggered a 15-minute long scolding. Now, I just remember a line, "What is your mental problem!?!", and I laugh at it. Things like that pass soon. What you do not want to do is mope around. I can assure you, your classmates have problems equally great-if not worse than-yours. Try to smile, even if you don't feel like it, and do some things you like. This should take your mind off things. We love YOU!

Fredil! Don't be sad, please. I know it's really hard when you're fighting with your parents, but just remember that, well, they're dealing with it for the first time too, so it won't be perfect. I am sure that they only want the best for you, but possibly can't find the words to say it properly. If you all give each other some time, some space and some patience, I know it will work out for the best. My mum and I used to fight all the time when I was younger, and now, she's my best friend. Sometimes we forget to see our parents as people, and we tend to think that they can't make mistakes. Just give it some time. And you are most definitely not stupid, I am convinced of that, so don't tell yourself you are! Just try to take your mind off things by doing the stuff you like, and slowly you'll feel better. Chin up, laddie, and stay strong for us! riana_dzasta 06:01, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
