Question

[edit]

At Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Flagged Revisions, you asked:

Sorry, I am new to Wikipedia looking to find a place where I can ask a question about a certain article, or certain articles. For example what is being done to update information on Wikipedia that is 8 years old, not current anymore, but where it is important the present status of a particular situation? Thanks.

I'm replying here since this is a better forum.

Usually, if you have a question about an article, you should go to the article's talk page. For example, if you have a question about the article on water you would go to Talk:Water. If you're already at the water article, there is a "discussion" button at the top of the page that will take you to the talk page. If nobody answers, or if you query involves several articles, there may be a Wikipedia:WikiProject that can help you.

There is no process for updating old information on Wikipedia, not even information that is eight years old. If you have additional information about a topic, and if it is notable, verifiable, phrased from a neutral point of view, and is not original research, then you are welcome to add it to an appropriate article. Contributions from users like you are how Wikipedia improves.

If you need additional help, then you should look at Wikipedia:Questions. Good luck! Ozob (talk) 22:54, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
