[edit]

Hi, EnglishDude! I just stumbled across the Xkcd article, and noticed it has a great many extern links in the article itself, in violation of WP:EL. I've never before seen an article with so manhy, actually. Anyway, I'm sure you weren't aware of it (has the policy been implemented since you began editing, I wonder?) but in this edit you added one, as well. My understanding for the policy, btw, is that user should have the right to know when they're clicking on a link that'll take them offsite; that's why we restrict external links to the EL section, and to links embeded between a beginning and ending "ref" tag, between <ref> and </ref> in other words. Just thought you'd like to know. Someone's going to have to clean up all the inline external links by surrounding them with ref tags, at least. Don't suppose you're feeling ambitious?
